did not like it

I don't know that I can even give this 1 star. Don't get me wrong....I love this series. I love all of the men and their women. I have thoroughly enjoyed the pieces of Lucian I have seen throughout the previous books and have been looking forward to his book. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in a book...especially one I was anticipating. Currently it is a DNF for me. I will finish it because I keep hoping the author will turn things around and redeem this work but so far I am at 70% and reading that much has made me want to claw my eyes out to keep from seeing the words.
I really have more I would like to say but it would include spoilers and I'm afraid including them would cause others to skip this review that I personally feel everyone needs to see. Truly heartbroken with the direction this book was taken.

Christie«SHBBblogger» I felt the same exact way. -->so far I am at 70% and reading that much has made me want to claw my eyes out to keep from seeing the words.
Yeah, the only reason I continued until the end was because I was hoping we'd get more information about that twist at the end of the last book. I was so angry by the time I finished!

Jenni I expected so much more from this book and the author. And yes I was hoping for more of the twist from Aleks book as well. It was like this book was written by a totally different person. I understand Lucian is cold, calculated, and grieving. However, that's not what I saw in this book at all. I saw a weak heroine with no self esteem or self worth and an anti hero with not only a God complex but a complete disregard for the emotions and feelings of others, evil in its purest form, and a man (questionable) that thinks he has the right to not only invade the personal space of others but to completely obliterate any and all personal boundaries along with dozens of human rights. I found him completely despicable and that breaks my heart because I really was looking forward to him.

A Klue Jen P, I haven't read this one yet...but you've nailed my concerns about these two characters & the overall storyline.
