Thanks Fiona! I'm picking it back up today and can't wait!

Bahaha 100% right on!

For Christ's sake. This sounds even more obnoxious than Ready Player One and I wasn't sure that was scientifically possible. Good call, Chelsea.

BAHAHAHAHAHA! That gave me a good laugh Joe!

I put it down for now as well. The concept is neat, but I have difficulty following along because I keep having to remind myself who the characters are.
Okay, I am currently reading it and I completely get the issues with this characters. I feel like I wanted to love it so much, but I am not finished maybe my mind will changed at the end.
I thought it was me! I’m on a forced page 74 and I’m losing track of characters, plot , and I’m generally bored... want to push through it because I waited a while for the book to finally come in at the library , but I’m not sure I can do it .
I totally understand. I was expecting more similarities to the Scooby Doo gang, and definitely not the sharp left turn into full-on Creepyvile.
I didn’t finish this one either. I contemplated picking it back up until I find something else to read, but then I was like nah. It was so boring.
I’m struggling with this one as well. A quarter of the way through but I think I’ll push through. Just hate the writing style. Hoping the mystery is interesting
Same. I rarely quit a book, but I could not get into this one. It felt like a chore every time I picked it up. I was so excited for it too, but it definitely didn’t deliver- at least, not for me.
Always the wise (and Kind!!) thing to do when a book just isn’t clicking, but it’s not *necessarily* the fault of the book. I’m just starting this one... we’ll see.
Yup, went into the end pile today. Not sure if it's because it took so long to get started, the characters, or the odd attempt at sexual tension. But I can't, I just can't.
It was the odd attempt at sexual tension and the fact it didn’t pick up until 2/3 through the move. I pushed through and it got a bit more fun but, not for me.
I put it down about two months ago. It was on a bunch of lists as a top new horror so i fugured id check it out. Love horror, love Scooby Doo. I was disappointed, I found it a bit boring, also it felt a
bit preachy. I love bad ass well written characters no matter race, sex, or creed, but they beat the "Tomboy" thing to death in the first half. We get it! She was a badass character from the moment we met her. This is a great example the show not tell part of writing. I am going to pick up today and try again today, because the concept is super interesting.🤞

It was the okay-ist thing I have forced myself to read. It was written so weird, I wish I never read it but I’m glad I didn’t just set it down… I think.
Yeah, I really wanted to like it and maybe I’ll come back to it later, but I have a hard time getting past the fact that the author basically combined Daphne and Velma into one character. I can’t see into the author’s mind to see what led him to make that decision, but as a woman who watched Scooby Doo a lot as a kid and whose favorite characters were Daphne and Velma, my gut told me it’s because he thought they weren’t interesting enough on their own. Again, I can’t claim that is what happened, but that’s what it felt like.
