Great start with a terrific story

This is a wonderful first book in what looks to be a spectacular new series. Barbara Freethy has created the base for the series in the town of Eagle's Ridge, Washington. It was founded by four WWII veterans when they returned from the war. The town is firmly established but is fractured by old wounds. Our two main characters, Ryder Westbrook & Bailey Tucker, have returned home needing to restart their lives. Ryder is a veteran Navy helo pilot, Bailey is a gourmet chef and they represent each family faction in a 65 year old feud. Getting past hard feelings, ancient perceived wrongs and building a new future for family, friends & community becomes Ryder & Bailey's mission. Good thing they're both honest, strong and resourceful people, throw in some stubbornness just for good measure. Love ensues with much better results than Romeo & Juliet incurred. If this story is any indication, this new series is going to be awesome, because this book is outstanding!
