bookshelves: library-book, couldn-t-bring-myself-to-finish

I went into this open minded. I knew the reviews were bad and everyone said this was full of sex. Maybe that's why it intrigued me, but it was just cheesy. Not even the unrealistic version of Eleanor, but the writing as well. I simply wasn't interested in going any further.

Rio (Lynne) I have The Queen's Pawn and To Be Queen: A Novel of the Early Life of Eleanor of Aquitaine in the pile I need to read before Elizabeth Chadwick's Eleanor books are released, because these won't hold a candle after her's.

Jemidar The Queen's Prawn was pretty bad though not as bad as Weir's effort, but that ain't saying much. I haven't been able to stomach picking up To Be Queen yet.

The precious time it takes to read which you will never ever get back and could've been spent reading something good!!

Misfit The Anne O'Brien book on Eleanor was enough for me. I'm waiting for EC.

Sandi *~The Pirate Wench~* I have yet to read a book on Eleanor,I think its been a case of finding the right one that has "accurate" history with a blend of historical fiction that isnt OTT. I have all the books above and a few others,so which do I choose to give me that "just-the-right read?" Its going to be a long wait here for EC book:( Any recommends III gladly take:)

Misfit I will tell you two to avoid at all costs.

Eleanor of Aquitaine by Alan Savage and the sequel Queen of Love by Alan Savage .

Thanks Misfit. Will avoid! :)

Misfit A wise choice to bail. Dreadful. Even with the inaccuracies, the info dumps towards the end were mind numbingly bad.
