Christmas 2020 - Nice-ish
An unusually somber Christmas short story set in London during WWII. On Christmas Eve, Jack and Maggie Harris must flee from their flat after a bombing raid by the Nazis, leaving behind everything they own, which is precious little.
Maggie is really annoying and whiney, even though she has good reason to be. Her husband is a saint for putting up with her. This was a quick, decent read, but because of my dislike of the main character, I wasn't as charmed by the inevitable Christmas 'miracle' as I might have been.
