Read 2 times. Last read July 17, 2022 to July 18, 2022.

"He is going to be my downfall. The death of me. He's crawled under my skin and there is nothing I can do about it."

Forsaken Desires by Ashley James is book 2 in the author's The Deepest Desires series and I personally think this instalment surpasses book 1, Barred Desires. This is Knox and Aston's story and it has all of my favourite tropes:

🌶️Enemies to lovers
🌶️Bi-awakening
🌶️First times
🌶️Angst
🌶️Family tensions
🌶️Found family
🌶️Dirty talk
🌶️High steam
🌶️Snark
🌶️"Mine"

Honestly, I totally fell in love with these boys - Aston with his absolute self-confidence and total chill with his developing sexuality, and then Knox - how my heart bled for him, with all his insecurities stemming from the behaviours of those who are supposed to love him unconditionally.

"He's never looked more beautiful than he does now. Cut open. Raw. Trusting. Vulnerable. Mine."

There are some TWs, so do take note of the author's note.

This comes highly recommended by me.

Jacqueleen the Reading Queen♡ Can this one stand alone? Or do I need to read the first?

Julia (bookish.jka) You can def read it stand-alone @Jacqueleen but characters from book 1 do make some cameo appearances ☺️
