Armored (Armored, #1)

I enjoyed this book a great deal. It’s pure action and adventure similar to a Tom Clancy shoot ‘em up (early Tom Clancy). Which is high praise. The book is long but runs very quickly. There are a lot of characters but Greany juggles them masterfully. I spotted the reveal early on but it did not ruin the read. I have always been a fan of the Gray Man series and will be adding this character to my regular reading list.
The end did lean a little toward a Clive Cussler novel. In one scene a plane is gliding in without engines and has to miss a bridge. All the characters fire their guns out the back of the plane to give the plane added propulsion.

I'd have to question the physics of using gunfire to propel stuff, but sometimes suspension of belief is required for escape fiction. I'm learning that reading James Patterson's Michael Bennett series now. I'm fearful of too much suspension as is required in Cussler's stuff, but Armored sounds fun. Nice review.

I love the part where all the characters fire their guns out of the back of the plane. Great review, David. 😎
