it was amazing
bookshelves: angel-romance

** spoiler alert ** There is one thing you have to understand about these books and me. They are my life. The Kissed by an Angel series has honestly provided insight into my life. When I first found out that this book was coming out with the name Everafter, of course I knew it was finally going to be the end, which saddened me. I didn't want it to end but, I needed to know what happened to Ivy and Tristan. So I reluctantly read it with great joy, for the first part at least. Every single time they said "Everafter" I cried and couldn't bring myself to stop. I read it and enjoyed it up until the second last chapter. The second last chapter is when I completely broke down.

She died. What on earth was that?! That defies the whole purpose of Tristan being thrown out of heaven. And the fact that Tristan just keeps living without her?! I mean, yes, it was cute how at the end Tristan is there for Philip but, Philip won't be a little kid forever. As much as I hate the ending, I know that it had to come to an end. Personally, I just wish that Ivy and Tristan could have been together at last for all eternity. They deserve it. They barely had any time together when they were both alive. It wasn't fair. But doesn't that just throw in that touch of reality? I mean, when in life is there ever really a happy ending? As much as you want it, just like Ivy and Tristan, you will never be able to get it which is just the harsh reality but, in a way always the beauty.

If there is one important thing this series has taught me it's that: life isn't fair. We have to make the best out of our lives while we have it. And as hard as it may seem sometimes, you have to fight for your life, because even if it isn't worth anything to you, there will be your Ivy or Tristan out there who just simply wouldn't be able to function without you.
