Mark Greaney's 'Gray Man' series is one of my favorites. I devour each and every one of those books. So with that enthusiasm, I walked into this one.

I finished the first half yesterday and I came home wondering what the heck I was reading. I was convinced that it wasn't a Greaney novel. I read glowing reviews saying how "action packed" it was and I certainly wasn't feeling that because there was no action...just a bunch of tough security/ex-military guys sitting around whining and posturing. I was wondering if I was reading the same book as everyone else. Yesterday this was a 2 star read.

Now with that said, I finished it up today....and I found out that the action is all in the latter half. Now that is the Greaney I've come to know.

I liked the characters. Duff was great and I liked the way his wife shined.

The latter half was worth it...definitely 4 stars. So considering the bumpy road yesterday, I'll settle for 3 stars.
