This is the kind of horror I can completely get behind!

Tori Bovalino has written a story about brokenness and pain and judgment and the sheer unfairness of it all. It’s a very important book about what it means to be female, and should be required reading everywhere, but most especially in certain states these days.

I wish I’d read this earlier. I was put off by the cover. I mean, that cover is pretty horrifying. Don’t be like me. If you’re bothered by the cover, turn the page and dive in anyway.

Mir Except for the cover and a couple visual elements (the skeleton, the mutilated deer--wait, why were the mutilated deer in the book?) this didn't really strike me as a horror.
