Really the big thing that made this 3 stars was the fact that I had to read it for school. We just had to take notes upon notes and there was so much information in the book that I didn't know what was important and what wasn't.
But speaking from a non-school perspective, I actually really enjoyed this. Like, it surprised me how much I enjoyed it. The way it was written as if it were a fictional story was very nice. I've only read one other book like that, and I liked that one too. The information was a lot, but not too much and not too overwhelming.
Overall, it was a fairly quick non-fiction read that was very informational and I did enjoy. I wish I had not read it for school because that would have made the experience much more positive, but even then I still liked it.

"its actually pretty good so far. i like how he tells the story, it makes sense and it would feel like i was just reading for fun if i hadn't just taken 3 pages of notes. but i actually am really enjoying the book."

"having to take notes is really dragging me down... but it's good that i'm broadening my genres and opening myself up more. i can't remember the last time i read nonfiction, but i really recommend it so far. maybe a 3.5/5 right now."

"omg the amount of notes i have taken... but i feel like there is just so much information to take in and its great. i haven't read much, but for someone who rarely reads nonfiction, i can confidently say that this is a great book for people trying to get in or back into nonfiction. it's also super interesting, like i'm really into the topic right now. sheinkin manages to tell history like i'm reading a story."
