MAIN CHARACTERS - Morgan & Zahak

SUMMARY - A bookworm human woman, Morgan, is brought to the fae world of Risest by the fallen dragon god, Drager, to help them discover who is infiltrating their lands. (view spoiler)[They are both forced into an unhealthy physical relationship and she struggles to keep her feelings in check. Drager's demeanor toward Morgan alone should be enough for her to run and hide as he seems to detest humans in general but when she meets his estranged brother, Zahak, she begins to see the truth for what it really is and learns that he is her true mate as opposed to Drager who was manipulating the bond for his own gain. Meanwhile, their world is turned on its head when they, along with their 3 other brothers, have an unexpected reunion and discover that their mother is the culprit and intends to end their world to feed her own. They must all work together to save their people and Morgan must find the strength to see past her "weak" human limits and find her own way to help. (hide spoiler)]

INITIAL REACTION - Well, this book really redeemed the duet if I'm being honest. I was really stupefied because it was labeled as a reverse harem series. It. Is. Not. That's fine and all and I'm beyond happy with Morgan and Zahak but it left me super confused and frustrated throughout the first book as Drager was NOT written affectionately. Thankfully, the author allowed him to grow and redeem himself a bit in this one and it all worked well together. I'm hoping that this series intends to continue with the other brothers. The epilogue kind of hinted at it was there wasn't any end notes from the author to confirm. Fingers crossed because I'd be willing to come back to this world for the others.
