There was a huge plot line in the book with the murders in the beginning to what Claire endures in the book and to the fate of Tom Christies daughter and the newspaper clipping saying that Jamie and Claire die in a fire in 1776 were all connected so I think of all the books in the series this one had the biggest plotline so far.
I love be how she is so open about breastfeeding. Unless you have lived and experienced the importance and connection of a life depending on you to stay alive I guess you cannot understand or connect to it. Our culture so carefully avoided ever discussing breastfeeding as if it is taboo and not the most natural thing in the world and these comments prove that. So sad. :(

Hm, not sure what to make of this comment. I have a child whom I breastfed, and still I thought it was too much of it for one book. I don’t think even one commenter here is anti-breastfeeding. The book prior to this one needed a good editor, that’s all.
