Maybe you can check if you can get it from the library or something. Have you read the Fallen series? I read the first book and found it pretty good.

Okay, I read the first 10 chapters and here are some of my thoughts:

For some reason (view spoiler)[ I feel like not much has happened. I mean, Eureka is struggling to move on after her mother's death and she met Ander and all that, but I still feel like not much has happened. I feel like all those things Eureka's mother left her will play an important role later in the story. (hide spoiler)]

Ander is (view spoiler)[ a creep. I don't understand why Eureka is that interested in him. If I met a guy who'd come to my house just to give me a fake phone number and then show up in random places I go, I'd be running for my life. (hide spoiler)]

It's a bit weird (view spoiler)[ how those huge waves always appear in places Eureka goes to. I mean, obviously it's not and accident as the Seedbearers want her dead but Eureka doesn't know that. I'd think she and her family would be quite confused about the waves. What are the chances that a wave like that would hit the same person twice after all? Well, maybe they will figure out there's something behind the freaky waves but it doesn't seem like they've made the connection yet. (hide spoiler)]

I think this was (view spoiler)[ and okay book. Not life changing but interesting enough. I'm not sure whether I liked it enough to read the next book. Guess I'll see if I feel like reading it some day. (hide spoiler)]

It kind of annoyed me (view spoiler)[ how Eureka kept blaming herself for everything. How exactly is it her fault that some crazy people from Atlantis want to kill her and everyone around her? It's not like she chose to be born with the tearline. (hide spoiler)]

I wonder how (view spoiler)[ Ander is supposed to break Eureka's heart. Will he betray her somehow or will he just fall in love with someone else or what will he do? I'd also like to know how Eureka plans to save Brooks. (hide spoiler)]
