I kept wondering what the "member's corner" comments were about. I finally scrolled down far enough to find it!

I'm moving my 2020 challenge here so it will be archived.

OK, this is my first time to do a challenge in this group, so I'm just gonna follow along with what I see other people do! You've probably already figured this out but most members use their Personal Challenge thread to list and post short review/impressions of the books they've read for their Goodreads Reading Challenge.
Meanwhile, a Member's Corner thread is used to track tentative reads and progress in reading challenges both within and outside the group.

FYI, both Personal Challenge and Member's Corner threads will be archived in January. into the same folder.

They're both your own threads to use as you wish. Since I don't always write book reviews, I merged my Member's Corner stuff into my Personal Challenge thread. :D
When we're able to create new threads on 1 Dec, I need to remember to include a link to my 2020 thread in my 2021 thread. Haha.

Thanks, oshizu! Actually, I don't know whether I've figured out much of anything :-)

Mainly, I just want a place to keep everything together, including my Boxall 1001 group list. I can't ever find my posts on their group site.

And, I'll use this thread to help me merge my Boxall group book choices, my ATY 2021 group book choices, and my 2021 Reading Challenge group choices (merge is probably not a good word for what I mean). My primary reading focus this year will be pre-1700 books from the 1001 list. Then I'll use those books to satisfy challenges from other groups as much as possible. So... I will be posting all my challenges from all my groups within this thread for my own use.

I wanted to keep my Personal Challenge thread separate since I'll use it as a challenge and this thread as a planning place. Of course, I'm not sure how well this will work -- only time will tell! I only write reviews on the main Goodreads site, not within individual challenges.

More than you wanted to know, I'm sure!

One more thing -- when it gets closer to Dec 1, I'll probably need instructions on how to post a link. I haven't done that on Goodreads yet.

While my memory serves (hehe), I'll post the steps for you now.

To link a thread:
1. Look at the top line of your browser for the url
2. Copy it wherever you like.

To link a post anywhere within Goodreads to your thread
1. It's easiest to start with two tabs open: one for the post you want to copy and one for thread/post to which you want to link that post.
2. Go to that to-be-linked post and right-click on its time stamp in the post's upper right corner.
2. If you're on a PC, the second option from the bottom iwill be "Copy link location." Click on that.
3. in the post where you want to place your link, place your cursor at the desired position then right-click to display the Paste option.
4. Click on paste to add the link to your post.

If you want to hide the link under text
1. Follow the same steps above to copy either the url or link to the desired destination.
2. Next, the link goes {a href="your link"}your text{/a}
(Note that I've replaced the <> marks with {} marks so you can see the coding.
For example, here's a link to your Adventurers Club sign-up post:
{a href="https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... to your Adventurers Club post{/a}
Here's the link again with the correct bracket marks:
