I loved getting back to beloved characters of Ian's Realm. DL Gardner did a great job of designing the plot around the variety of characters to connect loose ends and solve plot questions. Ian and Abbi are now middle-aged adults and have been absent ...more

This was an excellent fantasy. The plot was well laid out. Lots of action, so the scenes moved quickly. I appreciated that Eragon was not some super hero that never made a mistake. Making mistakes makes the characters seem more real.

Brian Zahnd
“Jesus founded his kingdom in solidarity with brutalized victims. This is the gospel, but it’s hard for us to believe in a Jesus who would rather die than kill his enemies. It’s harder yet to believe in a Jesus who calls us to take up our own cross, follow him, and be willing to die rather than kill our enemies.”
Brian Zahnd, A Farewell to Mars: An Evangelical Pastor's Journey Toward the Biblical Gospel of Peace

Timothy J. Keller
“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.”
