DNF at 94 pages.
I wanted so badly to enjoy this book, it has some interesting world building. But the heavy handed descriptions are unpleasant and confusing. I found it killed the atmosphere’s build up rather than add to it.
The dialogue was clunky and unnatural, it was just a very unpleasant read all around.
This is also definitely NOT a Beauty and the Beast esque story. I don’t understand why it was described as such on the back of the book. 💀

Dnf’d at page 61, I got this in a blind book package (labeled LGBTQ) and thought I’d give it a go. I wouldn’t have picked this up based on the summary, but since I’m it’s target audience I thought I’d give it a go.
Didn’t enjoy the opening scene. Off the bat, I can tell objectively that the writing is good, but I’m just not into about the flavour of author’s writing.
