Surrender to Love by David G. Benner

Dena’s first review of the year

it was amazing
Another somewhat view-shattering book for me. Much like Ragamuffin Gospel in the way it made me rethink what I believe about the love of God. I took awhile to read this one because AGAIN, I didn't want to rush through processing this. I hope I have a chance to read this one again in a group setting because I feel like it's another one that has many layers depending on when you read it. Thanks to my pastor for the suggestion. Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry

Dena’s last review of the year

it was amazing
I listened to this one on Audible - the first memoir/autobiography/ biography and I think this is my Audible genre. So much pain and struggle are finally over for him. It’s hard to say I enjoyed this because it was so sad to hear of the depth his agony and addiction. But I couldn’t wait for the next listening session. Felt like I was walking with a friend. Heartbroken when it ended thinking that the book and the life were over.
