This book was not for me. I kept reading, hoping something would occur to spark a change in my low opinion of this work. Alas, I read until the end, my plan unsuccessful.

I can see how possibly the early Boomers would have connected with this in their adolescence, with parents who fought WWII on the battlefront and on the homefront, but that nostalgia did not extend to this reader, a late Booomer by date of birth only, but a Gen X-er to the core.
