really liked it
I read this for a book club; I didn't actually know who Charlie Wilson was, and I've never heard of the GAP band. But it was interesting hearing about his work with artists I do know: Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Kanye, Snoop Dogg.

I imagine this would hit harder if you did grow up listening to his music. To me, it just seems like a typical story of a recovering drug addict, so it's not something I would recommend to everybody. But if you like Ch

It’s a bit pretentious and I still don’t understand what the war was even about.

But the ending is pretty clever.

Very poetic.
