There are lots of roles where interviewing is not the most important skill for the job. Just because someone isn’t a great interview, doesn’t mean they aren’t a fit. Having as many years in executive search as I have, when I look back at the best hires we have placed, rarely were they the best “dead on” technical fit. Rather the client hired people whose “natural gifts”…those gifts in your DNA that come naturally to the candidate, fit what they needed.
