EXCLUSIVE: New Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol has a message for his corporate workers: be where you need to be to do your job. In his view, more often than not, the place is the office. Niccol, whose own work arrangement has sparked backlash, told workers in an internal forum that he believed in the "power in having everybody together," according to a transcript obtained by Bloomberg News. But he's not going to tell workers what days to badge in and at what times. "We're all adults here." Starbucks requires workers to be in three days a week, and it also has remote staff. Many had questions about what Niccol would do when he came in. https://lnkd.in/g4uNN-qC

In my first cover story for Bloomberg Businessweek, Josh Wingrove, Karen Breslau and I attempted to answer a question still on the minds of many US voters with less than two months to November’s presidential election. What would Kamala Harris do if she wins the White House? Featuring rich reporting and interviews with Harris dating back to 2005, we hope you’ll read or listen. https://lnkd.in/eMV4EEa5
