About us

Arts for Oakland Kids, formerly know as Oakland Fund for the Arts (OFFTA), raises money to fund hands-on art education programs in under-served Oakland public schools. Since founded in 1996, OFFTA has raised almost $500,000 and supported more than 130 programs in under-served Oakland schools. Grants of $5,000 each are awarded for all types of art programs taught by local artists and educators who believe that the arts is an integral part of every child's education.

Wonder just how important your donations are to Oakland Fund for the Arts? During our recent site visit of the OFFTA funded Ballet Folklorico program at Pride Elementary, we learned that more than 50 kids are on the wait list for free after-school programs. In 2014, we funded two classes of Ballet Folklorico, a program designed to teach kids Mexican dance and culture. And lemme tell ya, these kids were having a blast. We really commend http://lnkd.in/bQmHGGa for putting this program together. Thank you!
