The dip in EV sales isn't surprising, given the concerns over charging infrastructure. People want to be excited about EVs, but without easy charging, it’s hard to make the leap. The industry needs to solve this issue fast to get the momentum back. And I agree that GenAI opens up amazing possibilities but also new threats. Cybersecurity has to evolve just as fast to keep up. It’s clear that government and private sectors need to work together on this. Also, the war for tech talent in banking is real. Digital transformation isn’t just about replacing jobs but upskilling and creating new roles. Banks that invest in their people now will be the ones that win long term.

EY, Great roundup for this Friday the 13th! Here are some key takeaways: - Electric vehicles hit a bump in the road, but this temporary pause could be an opportunity to refine and innovate. - A rise in cybercrime, highlighting the need for even stronger cybersecurity measures to protect our data. - On a brighter note, the commitment to safe water for millions by 2030 is a bold and essential goal that can transform lives and communities. - Embrace these challenges and opportunities as chances for growth and improvement in our technology and global initiatives. - Staying informed and proactive can turn any superstitious Friday into a productive and inspiring one. Feel motivated to stay ahead of these trends and contribute to meaningful change!

Additionally, I found the “Five steps for law enforcement to overcome AI-driven cyber threats” by Bilinda, Baback, Brian, and Erick very captivating. Taking the initiative to counter cyber threats is critical for our safety. Gathering and training over 1,000 leaders from law enforcement, intelligence, business, and cybersecurity at the National Cyber Summit to discuss using AI and generative AI (GenAI) to combat cyber threats. Ransomware and fraud remain key concerns, but the focus is shifting to how AI can enhance investigations and threat mitigation. FBI and CISA directors warn that nation-states and hackers are using AI to target American infrastructure. As AI evolves, agencies need stronger partnerships, advanced training, and AI-driven tools to defend against growing cyber risks. By embracing collaboration, law enforcement can better manage current threats and prepare for future AI-powered attacks.

Great ideas on AI VhatGPT News. I believe the old Generation needs to get involved in AI Chat GPT in this country and worldwide. The New generation knows all about AI and how it works but the old Generation (retired) isn't involved. I order for it to be successful everyone needs to know all about it. I know it is Friday when EV Weekends News on LinkedIn.

It’s important to take away the EV situation, since it is a bump on the road for a lot of car manufacturers, nevertheless, I believe it can be overcomed if partnerships with petroleum enterprises are made, these are in desperate need of an image wash and car companies of charging points. This topic is very interesting and definitely important to discuss it the way EY does, definetly a must read for the weekend

Another informative week from EY’s 5 Must Reads. The article “How Bolder CEOs Take Charge to Shape Their Future With Confidence” by Andrea, Nadine, and Barry highlights that confidence is crucial for CEOs, just like it is for investors and consumers. Additionally, I noted that the EY CEO Outlook Pulse survey of 1,200 global executives highlights how confident leaders make bolder, proactive decisions, especially in times of uncertainty. I find it intriguing that confident CEOs are more likely to invest in innovation, enter new markets, and pursue mergers and acquisitions. They also adjust their strategies to align with macroeconomic and industry shifts. As CEOs reimagine strategy and embrace disruption, confidence becomes key to navigating challenges and shaping their company’s future. Those who balance change with a shared company vision can seize emerging opportunities.
