The critical partnership between parents and schools in a child's development highlights several important points: 1. **Foundational Role of Parents**: Parents are the primary influencers of a child's early values and behavior. The family environment sets the initial framework for a child's understanding of the world, their ethics, and their social skills. 2. **Schools as Key Developmental Partners**: Schools complement the foundational work of parents by providing structured education, socialization opportunities, and exposure to diverse perspectives. Teachers and school staff play significant roles in guiding academic and personal growth. 3. **Importance of Collaboration**: Effective communication and collaboration between parents and schools can enhance the child's learning experience. When both parties work together, they can address any issues more efficiently and support the child's overall well-being. 4. **Holistic Development**: A child benefits most when both their home and school environments are aligned in their educational and developmental goals. This alignment ensures a consistent approach to nurturing the child's intellectual, emotional, and social development. 5. **Community Support**: The concept of raising a child as a team effort underscores the value of community involvement. It takes a collective effort to provide children with the best opportunities for success and well-being. By embracing this partnership, parents and schools can create a robust support system that fosters the growth of well-rounded, capable, and resilient individuals.

This is an interesting dilemma. Pull resources from public schools to fund microschools that help students who fall behind, have learning disabilities or their parents want to have more control over what they learn OR increase funding to public schools to reduce class size and boost support for students with special needs. Tough call. We've contemplated homeschooling our 5 year old daughter b/c she's an advanced reader and its gives us more freedom to teach her while traveling the world. This article gives me credence to do so. Having a micro school is also an option and it allows a teacher to give more focused attention and tutoring. What are your thoughts about these #microschools ? Like them, don't like them?

In the shadow of conflict, where hope often feels out of reach, Children Of War Foundation continues to bring light amid overwhelming darkness. 🕊️ Our mission to empower youth by providing access to healthcare and education through grassroots efforts continues to impact those we are committed to supporting within our programs. La Bella Baskets & Gifts National Back To School Month! National Back to School Month in August gears up parents, teachers, schools, and students for a season of education. Whether you're ready or not, friends, activities, and books are just around the corner. Get ready to learn! With shorter days, it's time to dust off the backpacks, fill them up, and plan for a new school year. Preparing children for the new year includes everything from supplies, clothes, checkups, planning schedules, and making new friends. Teachers develop their lesson plans and ready their classrooms for the new, smiling faces. Despite all the excitement, the expense of going back to school can put a damper on going back to school. Fill-the-bus events, backpack programs, and teacher supply initiatives help to fill the gaps. Organizations around the country pull together to make the first day of school fun every year. http://joycesgiftstore.com (Temporarily Closed)

As the new school year begins, it’s a prime opportunity for churches to connect with families and the broader community. Here are a few strategies to consider: 1. Host a Back-to-School Event: Organize a fun and welcoming event to bring families together. Consider offering free school supplies or a community barbecue. 2. Volunteer at Local Schools: Encourage your congregation to volunteer in classrooms, after-school programs, or sports events. 3. Offer Tutoring and Mentorship Programs: Provide academic support and mentorship for students who need extra help. 4. Community Partnerships: Partner with local businesses and organizations to create programs that benefit the community. For instance, run a school supply campaign and help students who may need resources. Or host study nights at a local coffee shop. Pastors, how is your church planning to engage with the community this school year? Share your thoughts and ideas in the comments below! #CommunityEngagement #ChurchOutreach #BackToSchool

*Calling all of my wonderful teaching colleagues and leaders!* 👋 Why do we need your support? Guide Dogs are currently undertaking a complete refresh on everything we offer for schools and youth groups and want to make sure we provide the best possible resources for all young people aged 3 to 18+ years, in all locations in the UK, and in every type of setting. For this, we’d really love the guidance of teaching staff and youth group leaders – it doesn’t matter if you’ve used our resources before or not. We hope to use everyone’s expertise to create a fantastic learning provision that helps our charity as well as being useful and fun for schools and youth groups to use. How can I get involved? We’ll be hosting virtual sessions for small groups where you will be the first to get a sneak peek at what we’ve drafted so far – our messaging, the graphics selected, which characters we’re thinking of using, even the name for our learning area! We’ll have a casual conversation about these so we can hear your thoughts on how accessible and engaging you think the resources are – both for you and the young people you work with. We’ll use the conversation to go away and make improvements – so this is a chance to have real input! When are the sessions taking place, and who do I contact? Sessions are taking place between 1st and 8th February and will last around 40 minutes. There will be flexibility in dates and times of sessions to suit participants. Please email [email protected] to chat more about potentially taking part. Everyone will receive a free Guide Dogs tour invitation as a thank you. Please do share this post with your education contacts and colleagues – thanks so much! #schoolcommunity #youthsupport #makeadifference #guidedogs #accessibilitymatters
