Important point is made here Hayley Aghanian as I understand it - this only applies to employees who have worked continuously for 26 weeks. So there will be those that will still fall through this and leaders of businesses would benefit from the mindfulness and wellbeing workshops in the ever changing world. #hr #mindfulness #leadership

Great to see Peter Cheese from CIPD will be at Mad World in October, arguing on behalf of a preventative approach to wellbeing via institutional change. 👏 As he says, “I’ll be arguing the case for institutional change because organisations can make such a profound difference through their working cultures, how they train their managers and how they understand the triggers of stress.” Spot on, given how much of an impact the culture and employees' relationships with their line managers impact mental health and wellbeing (for all parties, in fact). Raising awareness across the whole company (rather than just supporting specific individuals) helps to shift culture, which in turn leads to happier employees and better-performing employees.
