You have been practicing SAFe for several years. Not a surprise - SAFe is the market-leading methodology for scaling agile development for a number of reasons: → SAFe evolves and adapts to the needs of its customers, and SAFe 6.0 has major enhancements across the framework. → SAFe gains experience from MANY experts like me who contribute our wisdom in community published articles. → SAFe Studio provides a brilliant platform that supports organizations in practicing SAFe. And yeah, I remain proud of the contributions myself and others made to SAFe Studio. The question isn’t asking if SAFe is evolving. It is. The relevant question is asking “How are YOU evolving in YOUR practice of SAFe?” Is it time to refresh your Lean Portfolio Management skills by taking my Certified SAFe 6.0 Lean Portfolio Management class? If it is… I Invite you to attend my next LPM class. Class is May 9/10. Price is $995. Oh - space is starting to fill up… don’t miss your chance to take LPM from a SAFe Fellow who helped write the course. The Dysfunction Mapping Practitioner workshop is all about finding and solving the problems that matter. Giving your Agile Practitioners, Leaders and Coaches a tool they can use to look for patterns and form a hypothesis for change. 🔍 You'll learn how to make your experiments empirical, by anchoring your actions to the things that people can see and feel. 💝 You'll learn how to step back from 'enforcing frameworks' by understanding purpose and experimenting with the processes and principles that might help your unique situation. 💎 Most importantly, you'll learn how to measure the outcome so you can demonstrate the impact, and your value as a change agent. Becoming a Dysfunction Mapping practitioner is not just about learning a framework, it's about levelling up your ability to make a real difference.

We are looking for a couple more people to take this class to the next level. It is not too late! Here is some feedback for the last APM class: - Very knowledgeable with a strong ability to articulate concepts with real-life examples and context. - Excellent communication and facilitation during a 3-day course, as a single teacher. Easy to follow despite the 3 days virtual class format. Scaled Agile, Inc., Just Leading Solutions (JLS) - Advanced Agility, Michael P. Stump, #agiletransformation, #learninganddevelopment

This week I attended the #DysfunctionMapping practitioner workshop with and by Michael Lloyd. 💡What I learned most was that: 1. Despite being an agile practitioner one often tends to jump to conclusions instead of acknowledging the complex nature of the surroundings and using an iterative adaptive approach 2. A humble empirical approach is more suited than thinking you know it all (which I don't) Michael helped me understand that it can be enough to collaboratively - observe (negative) symptoms by listening to peoples problems - link them to fundamental rules or ideally principles that are violated - articulate what should be the benefit if the rule or principle were followed - design a simple experiment that takes a first step into this direction (a.k.a. 15% solution) and how to measure it - see if it works (inspect) and repeat (adapt) 🧨In a complex world symptoms can be the consequence of different causes. So we need to use an empirical adaptive approach to identify the right causes. Right-guessing might help and you certainly can narrow the possibilities through previous experience but there is no guarantee for the link up-front. 🙋♂️So, when was the last time you thought you knew exactly what the problem should have been, but were not entirely right? This course - and Michael himself of course - is highly recommended if you want to take a step back and truly make some measurable impact. Thanks for sharing, Michael Lloyd!
