There is a big difference between a job and a career opportunity. A job is a sideways move and a career opportunity is an upwards move. For something to be considered an upwards move, 2 key questions have to be answered. HOW and WHY it's an upward move. I am sick and tired of seeing starting job roles geared towards plant touching individuals, advertising for $14-$18/hr and requiring post secondary degrees. This is unjustifiable. Starting job roles equates to entry-level, and should mean just that. Corporate sectors including the #cannabis industry, should not undervalue the role of the job, and expect a participatory workforce. If you are in need of experience, simply pay the value of the job. Who else embrace those sentiments?
