BSicon elevated formations
[edit]Elevated formations are now 50px wide instead of 60px. Information on this is at BSicon/Icon geometry and SVG code neatness. The reasons for this change can be found here. Older icons are in the process of being converted to the new standards. Cheers! Lost on Belmont 3200N1000W (talk) 17:54, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
- That was my understanding (50px bridge railings), however all the other bridge icons where still showing 60px (some even show 40px railings). If someone is going to update them, then let's do them in a block so they don't appear disjointed when matched with neighbouring icons. Cheers! MelioraCogito (talk) 22:03, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
BSicon titles
[edit]Just letting you know I've reverted the additions of titles. Titles aren't actually required for BSicons and I've been intentionally leaving them out for several reasons. One, they don't show up when the icon is used, so they basically increase file size without anything gained. Two, some people use a German or English description of the icon, but since these icons are used all over the world why pick a language? Three, BSicon names have a tendency to change over time as new systems are devised and old icons need to be "fixed." For instance, originally the elevated icons used "ELEV-" instead of the current "h" prefix. Even though the system is well implemented and several years old now, it's constantly being refined. Names in titles have a tendency to become outdated which is just another thing to fix down the road.
Just some food for thought. Lost on Belmont 3200N1000W (talk) 12:48, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- Understood. Cheers! MelioraCogito (talk) 18:36, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
