"The problems to solve are so complex or large, that a single developer cannot solve them anymore."

This is untrue. There are software engineering problems that be solved by a single developer. For example, writing an App for iOS.

Although there *are projects that are huge and require armies of developers there are also many projects that require one or two software engineers. A great deal has been written about SW mega-projects. Many metrics, development methodologies, and project management approaches have been developed for mega-projects. Much of what is written and taught is over-kill and down-right inappropriate for the one-man job.

This book appears to present a narrow view of what is a very broad field.

ToC?

Would anyone object to a table of contents being added to the whole book? Akin to that which exists in the LaTeX book. — Sam Wilson ( TalkContribs ) … 03:59, 24 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

it's disappointing to see so many pages that don't have links to wikipedia to further explain some concepts. what's the suggest practice here? do we want to link to Wikipedia? or not? --OMouse (discusscontribs) 20:34, 19 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
