Nice work on the UB article. UB forum represent!! Flyerhell 06:06, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Where do you get the impression that Hai Teng 海灯 is a title? I'm not a real expert, but I've never heard of a title like that before. Who are the other people who were titled that? Also, my dictionary agrees with you that it should be Făshī rather than Făshi ... I'll make that change. - Nat Krause(Talk!) 00:24, 5 April 2006 (UTC) PS - Also, if you look at the google results, you'll see many or most of the responses for "Hai Teng" and "Hai Deng" are not pages about this person. So googlefight is not very useful.[reply]

Actually, 海灯's name appears as Hai Deng on imdb, because imdb always uses Hanyu Pinyin for everything. It appears a Hai Teng on Amazon.com. "Têng" is pronounced exactly the same as "Deng"; it's just the same thing in Wade-Giles instead of pinyin. So, it's not that "Teng" is easier to say. But, if you want to move Hai Teng to Hai Deng, I won't interfere. It would seem more modern. - Nat Krause(Talk!) 22:22, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Island Fox

[edit]

re: your recent edit to Island Fox. Yes, feral pigs. If you had read the full article, you would have seen the problem with feral pigs mentioned a number of times, as well as in one of the references. BlankVerse 11:04, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

U Albany Rankings

[edit]

True that you shouldn't remove something just because it doesn't 'look good' - but you could argue that the rankings do not really tell us anything notable about the institution. Moreover, given the talk about the length of the article, there may be an opportunity to find some balance here by cutting swaths of this section, while at the same time remaining objective Lucas20 (talk) 18:07, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
