Trinitydevine had been disrupting several articles mainly linked to fictional characters on Wikipedia. These mainly concern subjects linked to the soap opera EastEnders. They were given a series of warning but never acknowledge or attempt to stop their behaviour. On 19 December I reported them via ANI [1], as you can see the report was lost in the mix and was not addressed by an admin. Trinitydevine's edits did come to an end and Rosette01x became active soon after on 21 December making identical edits to Trinitydevine and the disruption has continued. All engage mainly in mobile editing, triggering the edit summary warning. Rarely give edit summaries, but the times they have they look similar.

A common theme is removing characters contained in character lists and creating new separate articles using the information. The IP given was making similar edits to Trinitydevine prior to their first edit - some examples below..

  • Trinitydevine adding unsourced episode numbers to Hollyoaks related articles: [23][24][25][26]
  • Rosette01x adding unsourced episode numbers to Hollyoaks related articles: [27][28][29][30]

I am requesting check user. If this editor is willing to create an account and edit the same articles without any qualms then they have probably been doing it for a while and have sleeper accounts waiting. Rain the 1 13:19, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It appears as if 2a02:c7c:8686:c100:1d9e:e5ea:f9f4:6390 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is another IP-sock hop, given their recent edits at Joel Dexter, John Paul McQueen and Mercedes McQueen, amongst others. livelikemusic (TALK!) 18:04, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The day after the block for sockpuppetery this IP springs up making the same changes to Hollyoaks articles. Adding in unsourced episode dates [31][32][33][34][35][36]

Just like Trinitydevine: [37][38][39][40] and confirmed sock account Rosette01x [41][42][43][44]

Is there anything that can be done since the editor will more than likely IP hop on this range and continue with their disruption. Given the amount of of edits to articles in one hour, they are quite disruptive.

QueenStaceySlater - account created on 2 January when previous sock was blocked. Usual edits of splitting characters from yearly lists [54] but the usual information removal was finished by the other account, Honeysweetlike. I do not understand why a new editor would automatically know how to split a list, and for this other new editor to finish off and continue to maintain it. The just seems like a continuation of the previous editing behaviour from all previous confirmed socks whereby a new account spring up, splits information from a soap opera list and sprinkles edits in-between.

Honeysweetlike - account created on 4 January - returned to edit this article which was created by blocked sock Trinitydivine, which was also edited by Rosette01x and suspect IPs - they're returning to update the article. Triggers the usual "Tags: Mobile edit Mobile web edit Advanced mobile edit" warning when they edit. Editing the EastEnders lists: [55][56][57][58]

Fat hev has appeared with a username directly linked to an EastEnders character, Heather Trott. Only purpose of the account is to disrupt the project continuing the spate of copy and paste, fan cruft splitting from list sections creating standalone articles for EastEnders and Hollyoaks. Same edit summary tags. See these diffs: [67][68][69][70][71][72]

Fat hev also returned to Bex Fowler and Ravi Gulati (EastEnders), which were previous sock creations revisited by previous blocked socks such as Rosette01x and Honeysweetlike. (See edit history). This diff demonstrates a return to undo a previous redirect performed by myself after the user got a block for socking. Rain the 1 20:18, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

They just continue to cause disruption and nothing has been done splitting new characters from lists written in-universe. Just like the previous socks. All the while still getting to edit their favourite articles, Zack Hudson. Here are more diffs that mirror all the diffs in every other confirmed sock case linked to this... [73][74][75][76]. An easy one here. User:Fat hev was blocked 8 June 2024 from the previous opened SPI. User:Servz was created on 12 June 2024. Split Priya Nandra-Hart from [77], an EastEnders character. If you are familiar with this case, each time a sock is blocked another appears and they split more EastEnders and Hollyoaks characters off. Always use Digital Spy, Metro and I Talk Telly as sources and follow the same rinse, wash and repeat editing style of plot rehashing. Editor is brandishing a list of intended creations, all EastEnders and Hollyoaks themed on their talk page. Are they just gloating at this point? Is there no way to stop them or we supposed to carry on reporting the next one forever? Everything about them smacks and quacks this sock puppet, see previous investigations for a wealth of background information and diffs to compare to this one's edits. @Spicy: - could you also look into this as you have helped me identify this sock a few times now and could be familiar with them.Rain the 1 20:35, 30 June 2024 (UTC) Rain the 1 20:35, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • UPDATE: A user with another similar name has popped up - User:Herz123 - they have copied the user page of User:Servz and began the same sandbox behaviour for soap opera characters. Both appear to be imitating User:FishLoveHam's user page. Behaviour is copy from the list entry, use Digital Spy to bulk the article out and move onto the next. Please can a new checkuser be carried out to see if the user has any more sleepers.Rain the 1 20:06, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User:Hazza346 a direct extension of User:Herz123 (the last blocked sock) which began editing following that block. They have been splitting soap characters from the list as per usual and openly lists their projects on their user page as did the previous two blocked socks. Same user page layout as User:Herz123 with a "Swain" character from Coronation Street listed as their favourite character. Matching contribs, user has resumed User:Hazza346/Dee Dee Bailey which was previously deleted at User:Herz123/Dee Dee Bailey. Learning the same languages in the user box. This is just blatant now.
