Closing - this was not a sockpuppet situation, but one where a username was usernameblocked per WP:UN. As such, the user was entitled to create a new username which was within Wikipedia's guidelines. Orderinchaos 01:48, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Evidence
- User talk:Professional Deletionist redirects to User talk:Snakese.
- He admits that it is his new username here (edit summary).
- Point 2 is confirmed by User:Neil here.
- Comments
Neil's comment on his talk page seems to imply to the user that it's okay for him, after being indef blocked, to create a new account and continue editing, as is shown here (edit summary). That seems to directly contradict "Sock puppets may not be used to circumvent any Arbitration Committee or community sanctions, including blocks, bans, probations, and paroles." The block log of Professional Deletionist indicates the autoblock was disabled, so the IP address was deliberately unaffected. I believe this was done to allow the user to create a new account. Addhoc 22:07, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I had to change my username, what did you make this page for?--Snakese 22:29, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
