•Horrible ending!!

•Felt more like Rush and Nan's book than Rush and Blaire's

SUPER FUCKING PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!
This wasn't even like Rush and Blaire's book.
Its like NAN THE BITCH'S book. DRAGGED UP AND OVER THE TOP.
AND KICKER IS, HER DRAMA DOESN'T END HERE. Its going to get dragged into Grant's first book if not both of his books. SO its like she's getting 4-5books only about her pathetic insecurity; even after Abbi said she doesn't want to give NAN a book.
+
We wanted a third book for Rush and Blaire... Not to see Rush running behind Nan AGAIN and keeping Blaire second again

• Has spoilers if you haven't read Twisted Perfection which was pissing off [because I haven't read it]

•Same base plot continuing since the last two books... 'insecurity drama'

4+ RUSH CRUSH and Every Dream Come True Stars

I’m not ever letting your sexy ass get too far away from me again.”
“How far is too far?”, I asked.
“It’s all too far. I want you right here beside me...”

description

After a lot of pain, tears and despair, Rush and Blaire are finally together, building a home, a family and a shelter. To protect each other, to let love blossom and thrive. To have that was denied them as children and teenagers. They just have a last hurdle to overcome and then... Then it's beauty and dreams and rainbows.

“When you find your reason for living, hold onto it. Never let it go. Even if it means burning other bridges along the way.” – Rush Finlay

description

Morning kisses and Christmas stockings. Caramel pie and wedding songs. Something new and old, something blue and something borrowed. Friends, screw-up family members, gun wielding Southern girls and protective alpha males. LIFE!

description

I don't want to rant or complain in this review, but I HAVE to get this out of my chest... Speaking of screw-up family members: Nan, you freaking loathsome, crazy-ass bitch, stop whining and get a life! I hate you!

description

Nan's bitchiness aside, this book is a wonderful conclusion to Rush and Blaire's beautiful and emotional story. Their own much deserved happily ever after.

description

description

My pre-release feelings were a little mixed, but truth is, I was just scared shitless that I would end up hating my Rush, again...

MORE RUSH?????????????

description

description

description

Rush promised her forever... but promises can be broken.

description

Rush, honey I swear to God, just shut your stupid mouth and be careful...

description

I WILL END YOU!!!

description

THANK YOU FOR PROVING ME WRONG!!!

Rush and Blaire's journey has come to an end...I'll miss them :/

I gave 4 stars because of Rush!!This book wasn't so good as the first two but it was still cute..and has a lot of sex!

In this book Rush is torn between his love for Blaire and his responsibility to Nan...(Again -.- Can Nan disappeared???)

Nan fucked it all up!! -.-
I want her gone!I hate that she is the center of this whole going to LA thing for Rush and Blaire!!Nan is just a bitch!!!She needs to accept that Kiro doesn't want her and to move on.She also needs to stop getting in everybody's faces when they are trying to help her. She's too blind and selfish to realize that there are those who love her and want to help!!
Nan story's line ruined this book for me...

Anyway..

Rush...OH BABE!!!I don't think I'll ever be able to get over him!He was so cute and very protected about Blaire and the baby!

description
“When you first looked at me I forgot to breathe that moment marked my hardened heart I vowed never to leave And the touch of your skin healed something deep within that left me wanting more of you the less I got the more it grew"
description

"So I’m standing here oh girl you know After all we’ve been through we couldn’t let it go and as long as I’m alive, in your eyes I’ll stare holding you so close I’ll solemnly swear that I have fallen too far, that I have fallen too far too far for you"

There are a lot of sex scenes in this book!Which was hot!!That alone earned an extra star for me ;)

description

I am happy to read that Rush and Blaire had their happy ending. This series definitely holds a special place in my heart!!

3 stars that should have been 4 stars!!!

While I really enjoyed this book and wanted to give it 4 stars, the fact is, Nan–at least for me–made that rating impossible. Lets face it, all the Nan drama was simply annoying and nothing more than foolishness and filler. Her character became a distraction from rather than an assets to the story.

That said, I LOVED Rush and Blaire and their romance in this book. I was so please to see the unique and endearing characters I fell in love with in the first book–who I felt went missing in the second–back again in this story. I sure do love these two!

Other than Nan, I loved getting a satisfying dose of my favorite cast of characters from previous books. I especially loved the author teasing us with Grant and Harlow's points of view, which sets the stage, I hope, for the next book.

And as for Rush, I'd give him 10 shiny stars for his swoon-worthy and romantic wedding gifts. Oh, boy, did he sweep me off my feet!

All in all, I really enjoyed this story and its HEA ending.

5 Stars!!!
 photo 70eb4f56-a21d-4649-a0e6-9ccc2d8bae96_zps6a87d147.jpg

Abbi Glines is one of my favorite NA/YA authors. I love everything she writes! This book wasn’t perfect, there are some things that could have been a bit different that could have made it better, I can see where everyone wouldn’t love it. But I sure loved it! Another Rush book? Hell yeah!

 photo 05f87029-b5a6-453b-8cfb-c5a145d25a86_zpsb3d3c7d7.jpg

Rush is the hottest of the hottest, the swoonyest of the swoonyest. He’s not perfect, but damn... I just love him! He has proved over and over again just how great he is, and just how much he loves Blaire. This book is no exception. But he is being pulled in multiple directions.
“I love you, Blaire. I’m so damn proud of the fact that you’re going to be the mother of my son. I want everyone to know. Never doubt that.”

 photo 01b5b725-c533-44c1-905c-c3c62b10613f_zps88ee94ec.jpg

Blaire is happy. Every thing in her life is starting to ‘fit’. She is pregnant by the love of her life and engaged to be married. She has a few close friends, and she’s trying to mend her relationship with her father. Blaire hasn’t had an easy life, but things are good for her now. Rush and her baby are the most important things to her, and she means everything to Rush.

 photo cc47d7f8-389e-4e53-acfe-f0aa2e5f3dfc_zpsb1b98b30.jpg
Blaire came first. Always.

Then Rush’s father, rock & roll legend, Dean shows up. I thought Dean was awesome. But the reason he’s there... not so great. Nan has invaded his home in LA. She is being completely unreasonable and driving them all crazy. Dean’s bandmate is her ‘father’ and he just can’t handle all her drama. So Rush and Blaire decide to go after Thanksgiving and see if they can help...
Deans words:
“You’re sister is a crazy bitch. She’s fucking insane. We need your help.”
And I couldn’t agree more. Nan is one
 photo Forevertoofar-Nan_zpsc992cdb3.png

She is just all kinds of awful to Blaire. Trying to put a wedge between Blaire and Rush. And she almost does. Rush is trying hard, but its difficult to manage Nan’s crazy, and his fiancee. Something extreme happens, Blaire just can’t take the drama anymore, and that feeling of never coming first to Rush. So she takes off to FL to see her dad. Rush, being the man he is, follows her. Rush realizes he can’t make Nan a priority anymore (than God!) that Blaire has to be number one- always. He can’t let her down again.

 photo 565ff7d8-f442-4fc1-84a9-724c675aeee6_zps89869f21.jpg

From there, the book is just all kinds of sweet and sexy. Rush is hot as hell! The scenes between he and Blaire, even with her being pregnant are really steamy!
I could spend hours tasting her and having her come all over my tongue. It never got old. It was more of an addiction.

And there were some pretty funny lines as well, this is one of my favorites...
“I really wish I could confirm to him that you do in face have a penis. A very big and pretty penis.”

“Please, just call it big. Don’t call it pretty. That hurts its feelings.”

And I’m not going to lie... I got a little emotional at times. This book had me in tears.
“You are going to be the best husband and father that the world has ever known. One day our son’s wife will be thankful that her husband will have had you for a role model. She’ll be lucky because of you. Because you will have raised our son to be the man you are. He’ll love her completely because he’ll know how.”

But my favorite part of the book...
 photo 36acde05-c27d-402c-b24c-e829f9da7802_zps51635447.jpg

I am kind of sad that Rush and Blaire’s story has ended, but I’m sure we will see more of them in the spin off series... for now-

 photo 1d2029cb-72fb-49b7-98a6-c91c2c72bf27_zps9f89be44.jpg

Okay- Even though Blaire and Rush’s story is over, I am so happy we are getting another Woods book and a few Grant books! I only have one thing to say about Grant’s book... Abbi better not even try to get me to like Nan. Not. Going. To. Happen! I am at the point with her that there is NOTHING she could do to make me like her. We got a little teaser with Grant and Harlow’s p.o.v’s and I am getting really freaking excited for their books. I just love this series! For all Rush & Blaire lovers, I’m sure you will enjoy this one!! :D

Why, you say? There was no fricking story. Rush was so sweet but he got led around by his balls by Nan. I just couldn't stomach it. Nan's dad is a douche. Nan is a spoiled manipulative bitch. I've got better things to do. Sorry people. This book had just too much drama with very limited plot. Sometimes ya just gotta end a story while its still good.....this book felt like one huge afterthought.

Win some, lose some.

Why did I do this to myself? I knew going in it would be a problem and I plowed right on ahead and did it anyway.
 photo shotmyself_zps00c6ba70.gif

I should have run away screaming when my friend lent this to me. I should have listened to that little voice inside my head telling me...
 photo runawayoctopusnopenopenope_zpsf0b5dbc5.gif
Sadly, I did not.

To me this book was merely a money-making venture. Seriously, this series could have very easily been completed with an epilogue. It would have been nice actually if the author had done this, as many others do, and offered it to her fans for free. Except then Abbi Glines wouldn't have had the opportunity to hook you on her other books. Like those she's very obviously planned for Grant and Woods. See, here's the thing, a huge component of this novel is dedicated to other characters and setting up their own stories. Entire chapters are dedicated to completely irrelevant story arcs. Listen, if I find Grant or Woods so interesting I'll read their stories, I don't need or want you taking away from other characters to push your agenda.
 photo bigbangtheorysheldonitsatrap_zps29a05970.gif

To make matters worse, and to further solidify my point, the author had the balls to throw an advertisement into the middle of a chapter. Really, I shit you not. Right there in the wedding scene, she actually interrupts it to direct the reader to buy Rush Finlay's song on iTunes. What?
 photo tumblr_ll39e709kG1qdoqnm_zps709a4e22.gif

There is little in the way of actual plot in this installment. It's really just an excuse to watch Rush and Blaire play house and engage in the simple pleasantries of pre-marital bliss. I guess if you're into that, then go for it, 'cause that's what you're gonna get. Yes, there's drama when Nan busts back on the scene but honestly, I hate her so much at this point I wanted to skip those scenes entirely so they added nothing of consequence. Her presence only made me want to beat myself over the head with something blunt and heavy.
 photo tumblr_ly4kcsAlHd1qaoevno6_250_zps13ec0593.gif

Yeah, there's some other stuff that comes up, nothing earth-shattering or important, and nothing that truly added anything to the story as a whole. It was merely filler.

Back to Nan. Oh how I hate Nan. And, aside from hating her, I wanted to punch Rush in the face every time he ran after her. I mean, come on, really? Are we really rehashing that shoddy story arc again? Didn't we suffer enough Nan in the last book? I guess not. I'd thought perhaps Nan had learned a life lesson almost getting killed and all that, sadly that seemed to only amp up her bitch-o-meter. It honestly got to the point in this book where the whole Nan/Rush relationship felt awfully incestuous. And to make matters worse, the hooker is even nastier than before. And Rush is just as big an ass, chasing her narrow ass all over L.A. while she acts like a fucktwat. And that's only when she's not screaming at Blaire and Harlow about how they've stolen everything from her and they're evil incarnate.
 photo youstolemylife_zps021b9427.gif
Bitch please. Get a clue, no one cares. You suck. Please die.

So, yeah, this was an epic waste of time. There were more grammatical mistakes than I could keep track of and I found myself wincing a lot at the sentence structure. Not. Good. So, I think it's best if Abbi Glines and I part ways at this point. I'm pretty sure I'm never going to get her, and clearly, as a reader, she doesn't get me. But that's fine, she has tons of fans and my absence won't make a dent.

Farewell. I'm out.

Forever Too Far was a WILDLY entertaining read. If you have enjoyed this series thus far, then you will enjoy the final installment of this series. It was a bit crazy but hey it was fun!

Right off the bat, be warned that Nan (the step-sister from hell) is still pulling her same over-the-top tantrums.

description

Then you have Blaire’s father’s turn-around and big reveal…

description

Dean & Kiro—these guys were bizarrely fun in an old rock star way. We also meet Harlow who is Kiro’s other daughter “the good one”.

Now onto our love story…

Blaire and Rush get through a couple of bumps:

Rush had to “relearn” the lesson that he MUST answer his damn cell phone when Blaire calls!

Rush was outright SEXY in this book! He can dirty talk with the best of them. Abbi Glines who writes fantastic YA, blew certain sequels of billionaire books released in the last week to shreds.

description

They find their hea and left me swooning while happy tears were shed.

"How far is too far? I asked.
"It's all too far. I want you right here beside me...forever."

Woods fan have no fear we get a few scenes with Woods and Della! Readers should prepare for Grant/Harlow book next since we get a few chapters of their povs in this book.

Once again, I enjoyed my trip to Rosemary, Florida!

Her love for Rush and desire to have a family keep her believing that they can find a way for this to work. Until she has to make the right decision for her and the baby. Even if it breaks her heart.

Can they find the forever that they both want or has it all just gone … too far?

Here's what Abbi Glines posted: "Okay... I know I promised the epilogue. But I also promised a third book when honestly I didn't think it was possible for Never Too Far to hit #1 on Amazon. So... I am having to put the epilogue aside and write a "bonus chapter" lead in to book #3. Hope this works for y'all! - Abbi"

“When you find your reason for living, hold onto it. Never let it go. Even if it means burning other bridges along the way.”

This book made me a swooning mess. When we first met Rush he was an immature man who lived only to fuck around. Two books later and he has changed a lot.Now he has a girlfriend that he is willing to protect from everyone, including his family.Blaire is the girl that gave meaning to his life and now that they are both in love they have to face and outreach all the difficulties that life has saved for them.
In this book you could say that their love is tested.

It's not a secret that Nan is an egocentric, spoiled b*tch. She has always been Rush's priority but she had never respected what he loved more,Blaire. In this book Nan is messing around with her dad's life and since her dad is a goner perv rockstar he cant even handle her so Rush has to take action. It's wrong that Kiro(her dad) isnt trying to improve their relationship but Nan isnt helping either. She is just b*tching up all the time. There were some parts where I could totally understand her pain but overall she was a DRAMA QUEEN
She pissed me off so much.

There was a part of me that got bored to tears!I couldnt wait for them to stop looking after Nan!I wont argue that Rush is a great brother but he unwitingly neglected the most precious thing in his life.

Luckily,he took the right decision and he focused again on his girl.
From this part of the book till the end I couldnt stop swooning or smiling like an idiot.Rush is pure perfection.

“Blaire,

This teardrop represents many things. The tears I know you’ve shed over holding your mother’s piece of satin. The tears you’ve shed over each loss you’ve experienced. But it also represents the tears we’ve both shed as we’ve felt the little life inside you begin to move. The tears I’ve shed over the fact I’ve been given someone like you to love. I never imagined anyone like you Blaire. But every time I think about forever with you I’m humbled that you chose me.

This is your something blue.

I love you,

Rush”

I'm so glad these two people found the HEA that they both deserved.Their journey was a rollrcoster of emotions for us but in the end all the frustration and the tears were replaced by emotions of joy and happiness.
I still believe that the author shouldnt have written this book but it was a nice one and I cant wait for Grant's book.

“I’m not ever letting your sexy ass get too far away from me again.”
“How far is too far?” I asked.
“It’s all too far. I want you right here beside me… forever.”

Before I start. If you haven't read these books at all. I can not recommend them highly enough. This are one of my absolute favourite series and I urge any contemporary romance fans to read them.

Moving on...

WARNING: THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR BOOKS #1 & #2!

*grins*

*sighs*

Sooo, yeh... Rush. *grins and sighs*

*swoons*

Major major major Rush Crush over here.

*giggles*

Mission accomplished!

What is it about a super hot guy going all gooey over his baby and the mother of his child?! I don't know, but my God, I'm totally hot for that right now!

"I love you Rush Finlay. You are going to be the best husband and father the world has ever known. One day our son's wife will be thankful that her husband will have had you for a role model. She'll be lucky because of you. Because you will have raised our son to be the man that you are. He'll love her completely because he'll know how."

Hot hot hot. HOT. Hawt! Phew, is it hot in here?! Did I mention that Rush is pretty hot?

*melts*

This was such a perfect ending to an absolutely wonderful series. Rush has got to be in my top five book boyfriends! He is just to die for.

The way he adores Blaire, the baby, his over protectiveness... everything. Perfection, all wrapped up in the pages of a book!

I never imagined anyone like you, Blaire. But every time I think about forever with you, I'm humbled that you chose me.

Nan, I wanted to bludgeon with a blunt instrument! Jeez, does that girl not let up? Is there even a shred of humanity inside of her? Once again, this book saw her getting in between our golden couple and I wanted to stab her in the eyeballs! Bitch!

But I loved that this book didn't have any major angst. There were a few hiccups, some issues to overcome, but nothing too heart wrenching. Nothing was dragged out or over dramatised.

Nothing in life was as precious as this woman. It never would be. I’d found my happiness.

I loooove Abbi Glines' sex scenes. They're super duper delicious without being crude or overly done. There aren't too many of them and they are full of scrummy teasing.

"Is it bad that I don't even care if someone heard us? That was too amazing to worry about anything else," she asked.
I lowered myself down until I could kiss her lips.
"They shouldn't be in my damn house is they don't want to hear us," I replied.

It was just a cute ending to Rush and Blaire's story and it set the scene nicely for Abbi's future books; Twisted Perfection, Woods' book, which is sitting on my Kindle but I haven't gotten around to. The little snippets of Woods and Della, in Forever Too Far really made me excited to read their story. And Grant... who I assume is going to have something to do with Harlow. My only reservation about Grant's story is that I don't know how much Nan I can deal with. The girl really grates on my last nerve! So I'm hoping she simmers down a whole lot... or just pisses off altogether. That would be nice.

That's about all I have to say about this book. If you're reading this review, likelihood is, you've read the rest of the series and I'm not needing to encourage you to step into the lives of Rush and Blaire. So, I'm guessing you empathise with my Rush crush, you hate Nan as much as I do and you're feeling pretty sappy for the end of this fantastic trilogy right now. This is their HEA. Their forever.

"I'm not ever letting your sexy ass get too far away from me again."
"How far is too far?" I asked.
"It's all too far. I want you right here beside me... forever."

(I haven't created a collage for this review because I can't possibly do it without including major spoilers for the rest of the series)

4 STARS out of 5
Genre: New Adult Romance

River Joshua Kipling aka Captain
The only thing I want to know is... Will we get more of shirtless Captain because he has my attention. Who names a kid River, these are things I must know.*pouts like a child* You can't just throw a curve ball like that Glines. You can't introduce me to a character and then not expand. *puts hands on hips* I need more!LOL!! Who is Captain? Read the book.

Ok now that I got that out of the way can I just say I loved this book! I think the fact that Abbi Glines will be putting out stories for her other characters involved in this story has caused her to not give us an epilogue that is most desired. But whatever I still enjoyed this book!

She’s a bitch. I know it. You know it. And she knows it. Nan.
After finding out who her real birth father is Nan decides to raise hell. Dean comes to get Rush so that he can muzzle the mangy redheaded mutt who has been causing chaos at his home in California. But don't they know she can't be tamed?

How many times must you try to help Nan, Rush?

 photo tumblr_m3jgnqI7Zo1qzhj33o1_500_zps0a67df15.gif

How many? Inquiring minds want to know.

'I knew what it felt like to have a father not want you. But I also knew what it felt like to have a father who adored you. She didn’t.' -Blaire

Our sweet Blaire supports Rush and decides to go to California with him. BIG MISTAKE. HUGE. You wanna know what Rush does once they get to Cali? Chase after Nan that's what. Rush has been playing the father figure for his baby sister for so long that it just comes natural. Much to the dismay of his fiancee Blaire who starts to wonder if he will ever put her first.

Rush does put Blaire first eventually just not before a bunch of bullshit involving Nan and her over the top drama swallows him whole.

Nan has a one tracked mine with a few stations to change it up but her main station is

 photo IdontgiveaF_zps4bbde43c.gif

Update: FULL REVIEW-19/06/2013

“When you find your reason for living, hold onto it. Never let it go. Even if it means burning other bridges along the way.” -Rush

Ok so! Where do I even start with this review. As you all know, I'm a huge Abbi fan...like huge. Massive girl crush on the lady huge! Yeah. And Naturally I had to have this book immediately. IMMEDIATELY! I almost couldn't get internet access to have ti downloaded and I nearly died a thousand deaths, but I got it, I started it, and I finished....IN ONE DAY! Yeah, that's how awesome this book, it's a wonderful ending to the perfect love story.

We get our duel narrative again in here from both Rush and Blaire and it was just so fantastic to be back with these two amazing people, that I just simply couldn't put it down. Forever Too Far follows on from the events of Never Too Far, and picks up with Rush and Blaire trying to work through their past issues and move on. (Trying to write this without spoilers is difficult).

Not only do we pick up with Rush and Blaire, but we get the full extent of them trying to deal with the bitch that is Rush sister Nan. She's raising hell and Rush has to jump in try and calm her down. Pfffft. Good luck Rush! Abbi has a real knack for introducing new characters and we get a couple of new characters and his brother Grant makes a more prominent appearance in the book which is fantastic, Abbi's secondary characters are all pretty well written and all have apart to play in the book and the lives of Rush and Blaire.

The thing about this book is you think that you've got plenty, and then BAM Abbi introduces new characters and adds a couple of narratives from Grant and that's it. You're done, you're hooked, you want more. And I do. I honestly can't wait to get into Grants head more, and I already love that Harlow will be his love interest, that's really going to interesting to say the least, for all sorts of reasons which I won't say because it's a spoiler.

Overall Forever Too Far was a perfect ending to Rush and Blaire. Their loose ends were tied up, they got their HEA and, even though there was no epilogue it was still perfect, and it's a trilogy that is going to stay with me for a long time like all of Abbi's books do. It's wonderful and I'm telling you, if you haven't picked up the series yet, then you really should. Be sure to read Twisted Perfection (Woods Story) before this one otherwise you'll get spoilers you don't want for Forever Too Far.

Note: This is NOT YA. This book is only suitable for ages 17+ due to adult themes and sexual content.

I'm just going to leave you with some quotes from this fabulous book.

“I’m not ever letting your sexy ass get too far away from me again.”
“How far is too far?” I asked.
“It’s all too far. I want you right here beside me… forever.” -Rush and Blaire

“I really wish I could confirm to him that you do in fact have a penis. A very big and pretty penis,” Blaire whispered. I winced. “Please, just call it big. Don’t call it pretty. That hurts its feelings.” -Rush and Blaire

MNDBLOWING!

I guess I can wait for the book...maybe

This is it...the final story of Blaire and Rush and whether or not they will get their Happily Ever After. It really is bittersweet for those of us with Rush Crushes.

description

I can remember the moment when I first read about Rush and just knew he would be the one for Blaire. It has been a great ride reading about all their trials and tribulations and seeing them come together and work things out.

Is everything roses? No, of course not...Rush still makes some of the same mistakes but...he is working on it and getting better at focusing on his priorities.

The old gun toting "Alabama", I mean Blaire, is back and I loved it. I kind of missed her in Never Too Far. And yes, she is still running but just like Rush, she is maturing and figuring out what's important too.

Besides Rush and Blaire, I felt like the main focus of this book was family. I loved how ~almost~ everyone was coming together. The holidays were really special and we even get to meet a new character. Well, make that two!

Of course, Nan is still the wicked witch. Ugh...Don't get me wrong, I can't stand her but now things have just gotten sad. I really feel sorry for her. I was hoping that with everything she went through that maybe she would get a clue. I don't think we will hear from her much in Simple Perfection, (no, we have the awful Angelina to contend with there...don't even get me started on her!) but unfortunately, she will definitely be in Grant's books. I would like to hate her a little less....just a little. I just felt it was too much!

Back to happier, and sexier things....I love sexy Rush and his tongue piercing! ~sigh~ Rush and Blaire have some really great steamy scenes and his dirty mouth is to die for but I LOVE romantic Rush!! There are sooo many sweet things he did. I wish I could talk about them but I don't want to spoil it for you. Let's just say if you find a man that does these things for you, DON'T LET HIM GO!!

(and I love their song.....The "♥" song)

description

One word of advice if you are going to read the spin off series, read Twisted Perfection before this book. Abbi Glines has recommend to do the same on her blog because there are some spoilers for Woods story if you don't.

Overall, I am happy with the way things ended. I will miss Rush and Blaire but I know we will get tidbits in the last Woods book and of course, in Grant's books....and I can't wait!

To be perfectly honest, I vacillated many, many times as to how to rate this book. Finally, after sleeping on it and thinking about it, I finally settled for 3.5. I wish I could give this one a solid 4 or even a 5 but there were too many things that bothered me.

Anyway, onto the review. Let's start with the good first.

Rush and Blaire
I'm glad these two finally had their HEA. Loved the first book, didn't care for the second one, and this time, Rush and Blaire had me swooning once again. Well, at least, when they weren't doing anything stupid like running off without talking it out with your partner!!(Yes, I'm talking to you Blaire!) Anyway, more on that later but seriously, you guys, I loved That was the highlight for me. I wish there were more of that, which totally sucked.

The "teaser" POVs
Yes, we get two teaser POVs. I say teaser because we get to read these POVs twice each, I think. I will not say who these POVs belong to but one thing for sure, these two will be getting their own books soon. :DD

The writing
Another factor that I enjoyed in this book is the writing. Abbi Glines has a way with keeping the readers glued to the book, forsaking food and even sleep until the book is finished. Heck, I could not put this book down. Her writing style just sucked me right in. Plus, she certainly knows how to infuse steam into her books, which is always a plus for me.

Now, let's go into the not-so-pleasant things in this book...

First off, Nan. Enough said. She just went from bad to worse and I have a feeling, we haven't seen the last of her drama. Apparently, Nan has to continue to be a first-class bitch for this story to progress. It was just too much and she was saying the same thing over and over and over again. :(

I also wasn't happy when my suspicions were confirmed about Grant and Nan having something-something on the side. Argh! There better be some good explanation for this!

Second, Rush totally buying Nan's bullshit for nth time and Blaire running off with talking it out with Rush. I mean seriously?? That was just annoying.

Third, the abrupt ending. Not even going into that one. I wanted a freaking grand epilogue, okay! I could care less about Woods and Della! They're going to have their own book! WTH!! I was totally bummed!

Fans of Abbi Glines will no doubt love this one. The things I mentioned above are personal and as I have said, I enjoyed reading it in spite of the issues. Peace!

Blaire and Rush are together and things seem to moving in the right direction. This should be their happily ever after, but is it really? Or will Rush continue to put Blaire and his son second? Blaire isn't sure if Nan will finally get what she wants and end the relationship she has with Rush. The question is, can she live without him? Or will they get their forever?

Can I just say that Rush was so freaking AWESOME in this book! Gah! He made me swoon and sigh SO MUCH! Even though he was kinda stupid sometimes, falling for the same crap over again, I still loved him! He is the best father ever. He was so funny how overprotective he became. But he was also so sweet and just amazing! OMG his friggin song! I went on a SWOON and SIGH overload. I'm glad I decided to listen to it when it showed up in the book. ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

Blaire was kinda a dumb in this book, well, specifically in one part. It was all a misunderstanding. Had she stayed and talked it out, things would have been different. But still, I love how badass she can be. She also was so supportive and caring to Rush, no matter how she was feeling. Blaire, she was one awesome mommy. Seeing her and Rush interact with their child was so freaking sweet! I LOVED it! It made me smile so much and feel all warm and fuzzy.

What ruined this book for me, was a certain person. You know who I'm talking about. I'm talking about the "one who should not be named", and no it's not Voldemort. It's Nan. I still don't like her, and I don't even feel sorry for her. I just plain LOATHE her. I'm sure my opinion will never change. She continued to be a bitch and tried to manipulate Rush. I was hoping she would change, but now even if she did, I still wouldn't like her.

Another thing that didn't fit well into the story for me, was that Blaire's father had another BIG secret! I was completely blindsided. I was not expecting it. I mean, how many freaking secrets does he have? It was a bit odd for me and really only to be mentioned a few times in the book. It seemed rather unimportant to even mention it. But maybe Abbi is planning a book on that.

Anyways, the book was a sweet good read. It was a good ending for Blaire and Rush. There were a lot of such great moments. I definitely felt so happy for the new member of their family. But the actual ending of this book, was rather abrupt. I was kinda left thinking "This is it? Am I missing pages?" I just felt like there was some stuff added to this book to make it interesting, unfortunately I didn't find it that way. Still, it was a good read, and if you are a hardcore Rush and Blaire fan, you should definitely check it out.

“When you find your reason for living, hold onto it. Never let it go. Even if it means burning other bridges along the way.”

Okay this was better than expected.

Rush you truly Won me over!!
OMG!! I was drooling for Rush the Entire book!!

So.. I anyone whose reading this book is obviously following this series
and knows Blaire is pregnant with Rush's baby.

"When she walked into my house the first time and I laid eyes on her I was attracted to her. That part was easy. But then I got to know her. She wasn’t like any other girl I’d ever known. She was so determined when she should have been beat down. Her life had given her shit and she was fighting to live. She wasn’t going to back down or give up. I admired her. Then I got a taste and I was sunk. She’s everything I want to be.”

Rush, the sweetheart that he is a perfect swooonworthy guy. He treats
Blaire like a queen, makes her feel loved, loves her too the moon and
back.

The only problem is that Spoilt little shit Nan!!!

So as usual Nan starts performing after finding out who her real father
is (Kiro) and in a desperate attempt to get attention from him she
freaks out and makes a scene most times.

Rush is called to Dean and Kiro's house in LA to deal with Nan because
only Rush can get through to her.

The only problem is that Nan is super jealous of Blaire and thinks she
stole him away from her. Also Nan is super jealous of Kiro's other
daughter.

My feelings towards Nan:

This book ends up being a tug of war of Rush who wants to be there for
both of them. He misses out on an important situation because as usual
his dealing with fcuking Nan and doesn't answer his bloody phone when he
needs to!!

Blaire was really awesome in this book and she didn't irritate me like
the last book so I was overjoyed!!!

Anyway... Yes he does redeem himself!!!

"I love you, Rush Finlay. You are going to be the best husband and father the world has ever known. One day our son’s wife will be thankful that her husband will have had you for a role model. She’ll be lucky because of you. Because you will have raised our son to be the man that you are. He’ll love her completely because he’ll know how.”"

And much much more!!!
Every single thing Rush did after that took my breath away!!!!

"I was just thinking that my son was going to have the mother that I never got a chance to have. Your mom was special enough that her memory stuck with me"

My only problem was that I didn't read Woods book so didn't know who the
hell was Delia or whoever those people were?!

I'm actually sad we've come to the end of Blaire and Rush :'(

It definitely could have been better. I think we all would have liked a little less Nan, but overall I am glad that Abbi Glines decided to listen to her fans and write this. I think it was a lovely ending for Blair and Rush and after it stopped focusing so much on Nan it was really sweet and cute. I am really excited now for Grants story even though I know that means that I am going to have to hear more about Nan... GAG!!!! Harlow similarly to Della seems like a character you can't help but to instantly love. I am glad to have gotten a sneak peak of what to expect there. I am also looking forward to the follow up to Twisted Perfection. I really enjoyed that one. Overall, I think Abbi Glines books get better the more she writes them... for the most part anyway. I will remain a loyal fan because as I have said in the past there is something about her books that is just comforting it's a guilty pleasure that you know will stir up your emotions but not too much. Let's face it; we don't always need that life changing sticks with you for weeks & months type of book. Sometimes you just need a quick story, with some hot sex, and a glass of wine to escape to for a little while. Abbi Glines is the queen of that. If I am in a book funk I know I can turn to an Abbi Glines book to help settle me down and help me move on to the next story. Thumbs up, and so long Blair & Rush you guys were great.

I'm having a hard time coming up with a decent review for this one. On the one hand it completely lived up to my expectations and I’m so happy to see Blaire and Rush get their HEA with an adorable little bundle as an added bonus. On the other hand, something was missing and it took me a while to figure out what it was. What was that elusive missing piece of the puzzle that could’ve sent me over the edge into a 5 star rating? What…could…it…be? I KNOW, I KNOW **jumping up and down and waving my hand in the air.** A NAN BEAT DOWN! Yes, I’m a bloodthirsty bitch and I needed a little more outrage from Rush as far as his sister pulling her usual crap was concerned. I know they’re related and all, but bitches are bitches and they need to be contained. No bueno, Rush. No bueno. My saving grace is the hope that Nan will be dealt with all proper like in Grant’s book. Are you there, Abbi? It’s me, Jen! Please give Nan the figurative bitch slapping she deserves and soon!

This is the 3rd book in the "Too Far" book series with Rush and Blaire. It starts right up where it left off in "Never Too Far". I'm so happy Abbi Glines wrote a third book because the ending to the second book wasn't a cliffhanger or anything, it just had a RUSHED ending. I love this couple so much....Rush grew up alot in this one and he is truly devoted to Blaire. The chemistry between these two is AH-FREAKING-MAZING! The only negative about the book is Nan. She was just as nasty in this book as she was in the first. She needs to GO...die bitch! lol

When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well, there's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?

Well, I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got, yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not, and who I am

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up, still looking up.

Well, I won't give up on us (no I'm not giving up)
God knows I'm tough enough (I am tough, I am loved)
We've got a lot to learn (we're alive, we are loved)
God knows we're worth it (and we're worth it)

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

I felt like they matured in this book, progressed in their relationship and transitioned into fully functioning adults. Loved the insight into Della and Woods' story, interesting tidbit there at the end.
I felt like Rush finally started taking Blaires side (TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH) and he made obvious strides in his relationship with Nan, by -at the end - putting her in her place, it was also interesting to see Grant and Harlows perspective at certain points in the book, I was worried when reading the first teaser that Harlow was going to be a problem for Blaire and Rush but she turned out to be a nice friend for Blaire and someone who hated Nan equally.
Personally although I thought Kiro was a self indulgent asshole, I felt like Nan brought it on herself with all her shrieking and whining... I also thought what she did the day in the hotel was ridiculous and she wasnt doing it seriously, she did it for attention - or she wouldnt have phoned Rush.
Altogether I really enjoyed the book, the writing was fantastic, the characters were engaging, the plot was the perfect levels of drama and fluffy romance :D

-----------------------------------------------------
TEASERS 2 + 3 from book blogs

Kiro was shirtless and swinging his tattooed arms around with a cigarette between his fingers and a bottle of rum in his other hand. “What the ever loving f*ck is your problem? Hell, you got momma issues then go bitch at mother f*cking Georgianna. Why am I the one being dealt this crazy shit?” Kiro was yelling at Nan when I walked into the game room. A pair of black lace panties were on the pool table but the female I’d left him with a few hours earlier was nowhere to be seen. Small miracles.
“Rush! Do you hear him? He doesn’t care about me. He doesn’t care that he ignored me most of my life and do you know he has a daughter? Some uptight bitch that won’t even look at me.” Nan was still screaming.
I walked over to her and grabbed both her hands. “Take a couple deep breaths, Nan. You gotta calm down so we can all talk. You yelling isn’t gonna fix shit.”
She glared at me but did as I told her to. I waited until she’d taken two deep breaths before squeezing her hands. “Good. Now, go sit over there on that sofa and don’t talk. Let me talk. Okay?”
She frowned but nodded her head and walked over to the white leather sectional sofa that outlined two of the four walls in this room. Once she was seated I turned back around to look at Kiro. He was taking another long swig from the rum. The man needed to stop drinking and eat something. You could see his ribs. His fetish with leather went beyond furniture. He wore it too. The leather pants he had on were hanging on his tattooed hipbones.
“Can’t believe you got her to shut up for a whole damn minute,” Kiro muttered and put the cigarette back to his lips.

------------------------------------------------------

The night breeze was cold now. I immediately shivered and Rush stopped and wrapped his arms around me. “We need to go to the house. I’m not going to make her stand out here and talk. It’s too damn cold.” Rush told his father.

Dean finally stopped walking and looked back at me. His eyes slowly took me in and I could see the moment he noticed my stomach.

“Dean, this is Blaire Wynn. My fiancée. Blaire this is Dean Finlay, my father.” Rush said in a tight voice. He didn’t sound like he wanted to make this introduction.

“No one told me I was gonna be a grandpa,” he said in a slow drawl. I wasn’t sure how he felt about that because there was no emotion on his face.

“I’ve been busy,” was the only response Rush gave him. That was odd. Was he embarrassed to tell his dad? I felt sick at my stomach and started to ease away from him.

His arms tightened their hold on me and I could feel his attention focused completely on me. “What’s wrong?” He asked turning his back on his father and bending down so he could look me directly in the eyes.

I didn’t want to have this conversation in front of Dean. I could feel his dad’s eyes on both of us. I shook my head but my body was still tense. I couldn’t help that. The fact he hadn’t told his father was bothering me.

“I’m taking her to the car. I’ll meet you back at the house,” Rush said over his shoulder but kept his eyes focused on mine. I dropped my gaze wishing I hadn’t reacted now. I was making a scene. Dean was going to think I was a whinny princess.

I'm giving this 4 stars just because I love Rush and Blaire. Honestly I'm a bit disappointed with this 'last' book, you know the feeling when you love the first book so much you get too excited and you expect TOO MUCH on the next books? that's what happen too me..I expected too much but in end it felt like it did not meet my expectations. There's hardly any conflict in this book, it's just the same psychoNan drama, Blaire running away Rush chasing her, promising this and that and then sex and sex.
I do still love this book, atleast we get to see Nate and in some way Rush and Blaire's relationship matured.
I guess my mixed feelings for these books started because of my disappointment over Della (yep! Della) I don't know, I just hate how Woods' book turned out and he ended up with Della, don't think she's heroine material and good enough for Woods. There it all started I got so disappointed and then you add the unspeakable Nan/Grant pairing I was like "WTH Abbi Glines"

On the positive note here are the things I love about this book..Harlow, Harlow, Harlow!!!! Thank God!!! I thought the petition against Nan was hopeless..thank God Abbi took pity..Grant! I am so looking forward to your book. Now it makes me wonder if Abbi did plan this all along or she really intended Grant to end up with Nan at first but then changed her mind because of all the fans' violent reactions..LOL! Grant, atleast it is safe to assume you're now saved from Nan..Hopefully we get to see more Rush Blaire Nate in your book..

5 STARS!

This review contains spoilers! Also if you haven't read Woods' book Twisted Perfection, I'd strongly suggest you do so before reading this book. This book gives away spoilers from things that happened in Woods' book!

"When you find your reason for living, hold onto it. Never let it go. Even if it means burning other bridges along the way." ~Rush Finlay

When the book starts off Rush and Blaire are in a bar with Woods and other people when Rush notices his dad, Dean Finlay (notorious drummer of Slacker Demon) walk in. Rush and Blaire lead him outside to talk away from all the people around. Rush introduces Blaire to his dad and it's then that Dean notices Blaire is pregnant.

"No one told me I was gonna be a grandpa," he said in a slow drawl. I wasn't sure how he felt about that because there was no emotion on his face.
"I've been busy," was the only response Rush gave him.

Blaire felt sick over the idea that Rush hadn't told his dad about her or the baby. Rush could sense a change in Blaire, and told his dad he was taking Blaire to the car and he could meet them at the house, since Blaire wouldn't tell Rush what was wrong in front of his father. When they get in the car, Rush asks Blaire again what's wrong so he can fix it. She asks why he hasn't told his dad about her.

"I haven't taken time to track him down. And I knew he'd show up when I told him because he'd want to meet you. I wasn't ready for company just yet. Especially him."
________

"He's here now. So, let's go see what brought him here before my mother finds out. I want you to myself. I don't like having my fucked up family around."

Rush knew that since his dad didn't know about Blaire and he showed up there to see Rush, that it could very well be about Nan.

"I love you, Blaire. I'm so damn proud of the fact you're going to be the mother of my son. I want everyone to know. Never doubt that."

When they arrive home Rush gets right to the point with his dad.

"Now, why're you here?"
"What? Can't a dad come see his son when he wants to?"
"It's Rosemary. You never come here."
Dean shrugged and took a swig of his beer, then threw an arm over the back of the sofa and propped both his feet up on the coffee table. "Your sister is a crazy bitch. She's fucking insane.. We need help."
"What's has Nan done?"
"Question is, what hasn't she done. Damn girl is raising hell. We can't get any rest. We finished up the tour two weeks ago and came back to LA to enjoy some down time. She showed up and all hell broke loose. No one is getting any down time. Kiro doesn't know what to do with her. We need help."
"Is she staying at the mansion?" I asked.
Dad raised his eyebrows. "Do I look like an idiot to you? Fuck no, she isn't staying there. She just shows up all the damn time. She's making demands and shit. Kiro has tried to smooth things over and form some sort of relationship with her but she won't let him. She won't listen and she.... well, she found out he has another daughter. Didn't go over well."

Blaire tells Rush he should go help her see if she can form some sort of relationship with Kiro. Rush wants to disagree, but his dad cuts him off and says that both Rush and Blaire should come back to LA so he can get to know Blaire.

When Dean asks when the baby is due and when the wedding is. Blaire says she's 20 weeks along. She says they were going to marry in 2 weeks but she'd rather put it off so it's not weighing on Rush and let him deal with his family issues first. Rush hated that idea. He wanted to get married and he hated her being Blaire Wynn while their baby grew inside her. He wanted her to have his name and everyone to know that he wants her and his baby.

They end up waiting until after Thanksgiving until they go to LA. It's the first time Rush has ever had an actual turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. And he surprises Blaire by making arrangements for her dad to fly in for the holiday too. It's Blaire's first Thanksgiving without her mom and she's happy to have her dad there.

Dean tells Rush that Grant had been dating Nan for awhile. Rush is upset that Grant never told him about it, so he calls Grant to confront him. Grant says that part of him was falling in love with Nan. He said that Nan was done with him and he's not going to play her games anymore.

After Blaire's dad heads back to Florida after Thanksgiving, Rush, Blaire and Dean head for LA. To make a long story short- Nan is her usual bitchy self, not only is it directed at Harlow (Kiro's other daughter), she's bitchy with Blaire because she thinks Blaire got pregnant on purpose, says Blaire is taking Rush away from her. She even goes as far as to tell Rush one night when she's upset that Blaire was picking on her at the dinner table in front of everyone when Rush was in the other room, even though it was Nan initiating the argument and Blaire was only defending herself and her baby. Rush believed Nan, which really pissed me off. Blaire never really got an opportunity to tell Rush what really happened because he had to keep running off after Nan. Nan ended up threatening to end her life twice. The second time she threatened to end her life, Blaire and Rush were in the middle of an argument because Rush was so stressed over everything, he was taking his frustrations out on her at the time, he got a phone call from Nan saying good-bye. Of course, Rush goes off to help Nan. Meanwhile back at the mansion, Blaire has been having cramping and she just thought it was stress, she's seen so little of Rush she didn't get a chance to tell him about it. When she's out with Harlow by the pool she has severe enough cramping that she ends up crying. Harlow convinces her to go to her doctor to get checked. When she's at the doctor's office, she notices she's bleeding slightly.

While this is happening Rush is at the hotel Nan is at, trying to get Nan to answer the door, when that doesn't work, he has someone let him in. Nan had overdosed. He's getting a phone call from Harlow at the same time the paramedics are there, and because he blames Nan's stress partly on Harlow at the time, he doesn't answer it and throws his cell phone across the room. When he goes in the ambulence with Nan, he doesn't have his phone with.

The doctors keep Blaire for observation for awhile, she's unable to reach Rush and neither is Harlow. When she's released, she's supposed to stay away from stress, and make sure she's eating and drinking and getting rest. She's so hurt that Rush didn't answer her texts that she calls her dad and asks if she can come stay with him in Florida on his boat. The dad agrees, and she sneaks off and catches the first plane out.

Rush calls his mom to come care for Nan, realizing FINALLY that he cannot help Nan anymore and he has his own family he needs to care for now, he also tells the doctors that he thinks Nan needs to be admitted somewhere after her suicide attempt. He goes back to the hotel and finds his phone and all the missed texts from Blaire and one from Harlow saying that she took Blaire to the doctor and she's cramping and bleeding. Rush freaks out because he can't believe he wasn't there for Blaire. As he's rushing home, he calls Blaire's phone and it goes directly to voicemail, so he calls Harlow. Harlow said that Blaire never came down to dinner and when she knocked on her door to bring her a plate of food, she didn't answer so Harlow left her alone to sleep. Rush told her to open the door and check on her.

When Rush gets back to the mansion, his dad and Harlow are in the foyer and he knows something is wrong. They tell him Blaire took off and left no note behind. Rush is panicking and trying to figure out why she'd just leave him without letting him know.

I shook my head and walked inside. "Gone? She can't be gone! Where would she go?"
"Probably somewhere so she doesn't have to deal with Nan's shit and her fiance running off and leaving her and not answering her damn calls. That'd be my guess. You're a stupid fucker, just like me, son," Dean said with disgust in his voice before walking away.

She was gone. Every little trace of Blaire was gone. She'd needed me. Our baby had needed me and I'd been with Nan, again. I deserve to be left.
I closed the door behind me before leaning against the wall and sliding down to the floor to weep. The fear of losing Nan had been terrifying but the idea of losing Blaire and my baby was unbearable. I didn't deserve Blaire. I had promised her I'd always be there yet my family kept pulling me away. It was time I stopped letting that happen. But what if I was too late?
I shook my head and wiped the tears from my face. I'd find her and I'd beg. I'd grovel. Whatever I needed to do I would do it. Then I'd never leave her again. For anyone.

Rush ends up calling Blaire and she agrees to let him come down to Florida and spend time with her and her dad. Blaire meets a guy in his twenties they call Captain there. It's later revealed that Captain has a connection to Blaire's dad

Rush is determined to marry Blaire when they return to Rosemary. He gives her 1 week before they will marry. Rush was so romantic when he'd send up gifts for her something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue and the notes to go with them. Then the wedding was so romantic also. I was amazed at everything Rush had planned. They plan to go to his penthouse in Manhattan for their honeymoon. Blaire had never been to New York so it was a new adventure for her, but they also wanted the comfort of home and her obstetrician was going to set Blaire up with one there to check on her while they were away.

The book eventually skips ahead 3 months. Rush and Blaire are back in Rosemary. Blaire is about ready to give birth, she's due any day. Her water breaks in the club parking lot after she was there visiting. Luckily Rush was there playing golf with Grant so he was nearby to drive her to the hospital. She gave birth to a boy named Nathan Rush Finlay, or "Nate" for his nickname. It was cute how possessive Rush was of Nate and didn't want anyone else to hold him or be near him when they were at the hospital.

As time goes on, eventually Nan shows up at Rush and Blaire's house. Rush is gone with Grant and Blaire lets Nan in out of respect for Rush since it's his sister. She's a total bitch and says Nate probably isn't even Rush's baby. Blaire is mad. She ends up leaving to go get her phone to call Rush, who immediately returns home when he learns Nan is there and isn't being polite to Blaire. Blaire goes to get Nate and is about to walk down the beach with him when Rush asks Blaire to bring the Nate in so Nan can see him. Blaire is really unsure about the whole thing but Rush assures her.

"If you want me to take him and you not go in there I will. But if you want to go in there I swear to you that she will behave or I'll throw her out of this house."

Blaire agrees to take Nate in with Rush to see Nan reluctantly. When Nan spun around to look at Nate, Blaire saw the moment she realized that each small feature was Rush's. Then she turns into a real bitch and I was really proud of how Rush handled it.

"Guess he is yours after all," she said. I stopped and took a step back bumping into Rush's chest. His arm came around me and he held me there.
"You wanted to see him. Be careful what you say to his mother. Apologize for that last stupid ass remark or I'm going to walk you to the door."
Nan's eyes flared with fury and I had a feeling Rush had just started something we really didn't need in our home. But he took a deep breath and lifted her hate filled eyes to me. "I'm sorry," she snapped. She didn't mean it but the fact Rush had made her say it was worth it.
"Can I hold him?" Nan asked, lifting her gaze to Rush's.
I went stiff as a board. If he told her yes I was marking a run for it with Nate. There was only so much he could ask of me.
"Probably not a good idea. With you glaring at his momma like that I don't think she's gonna feel safe handing him over."
Nan scowled. "He's your kid too."
"He is. But Blaire is his mother. I don't let anything happen that she isn't comfortable with."
"God, Rush where did your balls go?"
"That's strike two, sis."
"I just wanted to see the kid and let you know I'm doing better. If you want to see me I'm in town for a few days. I'm not up for anymore bonding with your little family here so keep that in mind."

That's not where the story ends, but you can read it to see what happens from there. I was happy that after all Nan's drama in LA, Rush learned to put Blaire and Nate first. He never made that mistake again of putting anyone before them.

"I love you, Rush Finlay."
"Good 'cause I'm never letting your sexy ass get too far away from me again."
"How far is too far?" I asked.
"It's all too far. I want you right here beside me....forever."

This book has brief appearances by Woods and Della and Woods' ex, which is why if you haven't read Woods' book Twisted Perfection yet, I suggest you do so. This book alternates POV between Rush and Blaire but also has 3 different points in the book where it was either Grant's or Harlow's POV. To be honest, that's why it took me so long to decide what to rate this book. I loved the book, but it was supposed to be Rush and Blaire's book and I didn't like having Grant and Harlow's POV thrown into it when it didn't involve Rush or Blaire in anyway. I felt that if the author wanted us to have a sneak peek at Grant and Harlow's situation, then a sneak peek of Grant's book should have been added in AFTER this book was done. That's why I had such a hard time deciding whether or not to reduce my rating because of that, but ultimately- I decided to leave it at 5 stars which is what I would have given it if their POV wasn't in Rush and Blaire's book anyway- the only reason I did that is because Abbi never intended on having this 3rd book for Rush and Blaire, she was going to stop after the 2nd book- she wrote it for the fans of the series. I figured I wasn't going to deduct for such a minor thing when she went out of her way for the fans of the series to write this 3rd book. I was annoyed with Nan throughout the book also, but she's always been a part of this series and I knew what to expect from her, so I wasn't going to let my irritation over her affect my rating either. I was happy that Rush and Blaire got their HEA and that's all that mattered in the end for me. Well that and the fact that Rush finally figured out Blaire and his baby should come first for him.

“I admired her. Then I got a taste and I was sunk. She’s everything I want to be.”

There’s not much to say about this. Except that I completely love this book.
A great ending in an awesome series. And I know we’ll get to see more of them on Woods and Grant’s books… but I’m going to miss Blair and Rush.

description

So this is the final book of Rush’s and Blaire’s story. Engaged and soon to be parents they know this time is for good. There will be no more running away, no more problems between them. They’ll soon be a family and this time is forever.

description

But Rush’s family doesn’t know boundaries and they keep demanding Rush's attention to solve their problems. Especially now that Nan’s (aka Holy Queen of Bitches) real father is on the picture and things aren’t pretty.
So when Rush is once again put in the difficult position of having to take care of his sister and at the same time taking care of Blaire during her pregnancy, things start to get rough again.

description
>

Blair loves Rush beyond limit and she knows that he loves her the same way. But somehow there’s always something in way and for the first time Blaire want her and their baby to be put in first place.
She wants their happy ending, but she knows that she can’t have one while she keeps being pushed to second place, or at least while she feels that way. So she has to decide if she is going to live the fairytale or is sometimes love is nothing but a tale.

description

I’m not going to lie: As much as I love this new, romantic and caveman protective Rush, I kind of miss the old bad boy Rush. Luckily there were some really steamy moments where he was back.
I liked Blaire more than in the previous ones and we were able to see a badass Blaire façade that was AWESOME.
I loved to see a little more of Woods and Della and a sneak peak of Grant’s story. I can’t wait to read the next books on their series.
Well, this was a great book and I loved to see their HEA. Half of the book was like a giant epilogue and I loved it.

Definitely a series that I’ll re-read countless times. ;)

description

So, Here we go......
TEASER 1:

"Grant and Nan have had a thing for a while now. Nan finally screwed things up for the last time and its over. Rush didn't know about it"

My mouth dropped open as Dean's words sank in. Grant and Nan? Really?

"Shocked the hell outta me too. Didn't think that boy was stupid. Guess he learned the hard way just cause it's pretty doesn't mean it shines"

BAD NEWS, PEOPLE!!!!

And, now TEASER 2:

IS SHE FOR REAL??????

"......'think' I was a whiny princess...."

This book was a fabulous ending to Rush and Blaire's romantic tale. It had everything that I love in a heart warming romance story. The sex was smoking hot, and Rush was his usual panty melting, dirty talking self. The only negative in the whole story was Nan; but I guess that is to be expected when it comes to her. There were some new characters thrown into the mix as well, so I am hoping that means we won't be seeing the last of the Rosemary bunch. We get to meet a character named: Captain; who I will admit has me intrigued and crossing my fingers that he will get a story. As well as Nan's fathers daughter named: Harlow; she also has sparked my curiousity, and I think she would also make for a great story!! (Toes are crossed too!!) Not only did we have new characters, but we got to see all of our old ones that we have grown to know and love.

Rush and Blaire are awaiting the birth of their child, but nothing can ever be 100% smooth sailing in romance land. Rush becomes aware that his sister Nan is in turmoil, and Blaire talks him in to taking her with him to help Nan out. When they show up, Rush is faced with the dillema of putting Nan before his beloved Blaire. He is once again torn, as in his heart he wants to be there for Blaire and only Blaire; but he also loves his sister and is terrified that she may hurt herself if he isn't there for her. This is a continuation of a problem that has happened between Rush and Blaire before. This time though, Blaire is pregnant and not willing to put up with some of the same old feelings that were experienced in the past. She leaves to go stay with her father, and ends up with a surprise of her own while she is there. I am relieved to state that Abbi Glines did not drag out the story line with Rush/Nan/and BLaire for too long. When I was reading this, I became concerned that the whole book was going to be about the conflict that arises with Nan. I am super glad to report that wasn't the case, as there was so many good things to focus on. We get to witness a beautiful wedding between Blaire and Rush, and I must say that I fell in love with Rush all over again through out the wedding preperations. He was so sweet in the gifts he got his fiance, I was extremely touched as I was reading it. All I have to say about that is two words: Pink, silk! You need to read it to find out; but trust me, it will have you tear up for sure.

"Blaire, I love you girl..to the moon and back."--Rush Finlay

Another touching scene is the birth of their child. Abbi Glines also wrote this beautifully, and so realistically I was in stitches for part of it. I am a mother myself, so to see how Blaire reacted in the birthing room was a riot! The added bonus is we get to see how their life is for a good month after the little one is born too!

If you have followed Rush and Blaire's journey then this is a must read! I feel the fans got a real treat with this book, and it just reminds me of why I fell in love with this couple in the first place. Their love is pure and true, and I don't think I can ever get enough of this awesome couple. An all out feel good read that I enjoyed the whole way!

I hate for this series to end.. I've enjoyed Blaire and Rush so much. I would easily enjoy another book with them. Abbi G has a way of making each book fresh. I'm really looking forward to the spin off from this series with Grant ( and hopefully Harlow) and also the next installment of Woods and Della Simple Perfection. I'll definitely be re-reading this entire series again in the future...

Me reading this book:

This series was a roller coaster. Book 1 was awesome. I couldn’t put it down and fell in love it immediately (except for the horrible cliff hanger ending). Book 2 was more middle of the road. Not as good as one and disappointing as a follow-up. But this book redeemed the series for me. It brought the ending up to a high note.

This book was a proper ending. I’ll still enjoy catching up with/seeing Rush and Blaire in Woods and Grant’s books, but now I won’t feel like their story is unfinished. I loved everything about Rush and Blaire. Yes, Rush still had is idiot moments that caused me to want to

But it was only a couple times and he actually seemed to have his priorities straight in this book. Blaire’s one moment of stupidity wasn’t all that bad and I can’t even say it was really stupidity. She did what was best for her. Her only big mistake (in my opinion) was not leaving Rush a note or text. But I really didn’t blame her. She had to think of herself and her baby and the best thing for her was to leave the situation and the stress she was under.

I really enjoyed meeting Rush’s dad. After the disaster that has been their parents in this series, it was nice to finally like one of the parental units. Granted, he’s not the best dad in the world, but you could clearly see that he loves his son.

And since I’m on the topic of dads…I’ve now made my peace with Blaire’s dad. In the last book I felt like is apology was too quick and the whole story line was wrapped up too quickly with Blaire forgiving him too quickly. Maybe I just hold grudges (which I do) but I would have liked to see him really make an attempt to make it up to her as opposed to Blaire instantly forgiving him. But…things worked out well in this book.

Nan was just awful. Because this book wasn’t initially planned, Nan was an odd character. I didn’t like her quick turnaround in the second book and I didn’t trust it. And with this book she reverted back to her old self. And I hated her just as much as I did in the previous books. I wanted her to fall off a cliff and into the ocean. Or off the ends of the earth. I just wanted her to go away and never bother anyone ever again. She seriously left me wanting to

If I were Blaire and Rush, I would have been telling Nan:

There was one part of the Nan storyline that I was incredibly happy with.

I also really liked the addition of Harlow. I would love to see more of her and I really hope she gets a story.

I would definitely recommend this book to people. However, if you haven’t read Twisted Perfection, I would avoid this until you do. The events of Twisted Perfection take place in the middle of this book (but you don’t see any of it, just one scene from Blaire’s POV) but there are a few details that bridge TP and its sequel.

This book is definitely worth reading and it’s a fitting ending to a story…the ending Rush and Blaire deserved.
