The Art of D/s #2

The Art of Domination

Rate this book
Warning: Written for mature audiences and includes profanity, graphic sexual encounters, moderate BDSM themes and mild edgeplay.

Romantic, erotic, suspenseful, emotional and humorous.

Five months into their intensely physical and BDSM-laced relationship, Dylan is ready to make a lifelong commitment to Isabel. But Isabel has reservations and for good reason as Dylan has continued to remain secretive and closed off about his past.

When someone from Dylan's past makes an unwelcome appearance, he is forced to confront his demons head on as he is threatened with exposure about his sexual proclivities. More concerning is the threat of exposure about how his parents' death rests on his shoulders. Forced into an awkward situation, Dylan must help the former lover and ex-submissive who threatens to expose him, all while trying to keep it a secret from Isa.

Dylan and Isa embark on a new journey as they take vows to never let anything tear them apart, a journey that tests Isa's physical and mental limits as Dylan lets his true Dominant and sadistic nature out, giving Isa more artistic inspiration than she ever thought possible. But can Isa keep her own Dominant nature at bay long enough to allow Dylan to fulfill his sadistic fantasies?

With Isa's upcoming debut gallery show and just when things are heating up, their relationship is threatened when Isa comes face-to-face with Dylan's past activities with his ex and a woman from his past who won't let him go.

To make matters worse, Isa's father tries to force his way back into her life and she finds out just how truly cruel he really is as his secrets are revealed.

With everything that comes to light, can Isa stay true to her vows of for better or worse?

The story starts right off from where The Art of Submission ended. Dylan and Isabel are 5 months into their BDSM relationship and they get engaged and later Dylan's past keeps coming back to haunt him, but will this relationship survive all this craziness??? Art of Domination was dark, intense, and at times disturbing. I loved every single minute of this book. I'm now off to read "Art of Control" to see where Dylan & Isa go from here!! This is by far the best book series i've ever read...thanks Ella!

“Speak pussycat; tell your Master you love him.”
“You already made your point,” I say with a mouthful of fruit.
“Did I?”
“Oh, for the love of dick, yes. Now leave me alone.”
“Never. If you want, I’ll fuck you now.”
The gall. I wouldn’t fuck him now if my clit was on fire and needed to be doused with nub-saving cum. I roll my eyes at him.
“No thanks, we have a lifetime of fucking ahead of us,” I say mockingly.
He shrugs and starts to walk away as if it makes no difference to him one way or the other. He’s such a jackass sometimes. Before I can stop myself I throw my half-eaten banana at him and it hits him on the back of his neck.
He spins around, wipes his neck and looks down at the banana on the floor.
“Did you really just fruitally assault me?”
He thinks he’s so damned funny with his wordplay.”

5++++ Holy blue balls stars

As soon as I finished The Art of Submission, I was eager to jump into this book. I couldn't think. I only wanted more of Dylan and Isabel. I fucking love these characters.

Warning this book takes on more hardcore bondage play, blood play. Very graphic. But also so beautifully done.

We take off 5 months later after the first book. Dylan and Isabel have taken their relationship to the next level. But is rudely interrupted by, secrets and past demons coming to haunt them once again.

I feel so much hatred toward those who are trying to come between these two. Leave them the fuck alone.

I want to read about these two for days on end. I want their happily ever after.

I adore Isabel more in this book. Her insecurities seem to be a little more tamed then the last book. Her inter Isabel comes out to play and I love it. I want more of it. I love how she is a goddess, takes control over her self and puts out what she wants. But I also love her masochistic side. Boy that girl can take some pain and want more. She is a crack up though, she makes me laugh so many times through out this book with her comments and her thoughts she has.

The playfulness these two have is too damn cute and fucking hilarious.

Dylan, man oh man Dylan. I fucking love this overbearing, intense, crazy, off his rocker man. He shows, Isabel is true Dom side in this one. He does not hold nothing back. He pushes her limits to the bound.... At first I thought he was just pushing it too far, didn't know if I could handle this side of him. But fuck yes I could!!! I want more of this side. I love his true Dom.

I don't see much of this type of switch in other books. I love how this book makes others different. Dylan and Isabel have their own love, personal needs that fits them perfectly.

Their love is unconditional, true to form. Nothing is going to stand in their way for a happy after. Or will it???

It's killing me that I have to wait a little over a month to read more about these two. But I will enjoy the pain of waiting.

Bravo Ella, You transform these characters in a beautiful way that holds them dear to me, I will never want to let them go. Just keep on doing what you are doing and bring me lots of pain and pleasure in the next books to come. :)

Holy Crap! The second book in the D/s Trilogy soars above the first and firmly solidifies Ella Dominguez's ability to write intense, intriguing fiction with an Erotic BDSM twist...
"There are far worse people than you and I in this world and being a little dirty minded never hurt anyone, so fuck anyone who has a problem with it."

I had firm words to say about the first book in this series, and I'm here to tell you that continuing this series was my absolute pleasure. Every issue I had with the first book was nonexistent here, and has been wiped from my memory by the outstanding writing from book two. The continuation of Dylan and Isabel's journey was an edge-of-your-seat-while-squirming triumph.

DYLAN YOUNG

Dylan on why he thinks he became a Dominant:
“It’s hard to put into words. It makes me feel wanted and needed, like a God, and like I can accomplish anything. I like the trust that’s given to me when I’m in control. It’s because it’s who I am.”
ISABEL IBANEZ

Isa on why she thinks she became a submissive:
“I like being under your control and pleasing you. I like the feeling of surrendering myself to you and the trust we have that comes from that. I already told you that my curiosity for sex like this came from the lack of excitement from vanilla sex, not for any other reason..."
There was just so much more to this book:
More honest love between the Dylan & Isa,
more character development,
more action and intrigue,
more suspense...

Plus, the author ramped up the Erotic Intensity:
The BDSM element was stronger in this installment,
Dylan let out his sadistic side,
Isa discovered her masochist side,
There was more hard-core bondage & discipline,
anal play,
knife play,
fire play,
public displays...

I stand before you completely blown away...

I absolutely loved it, and I'm thrilled to be moving on to Book Three!

The second book in Ella Dominguez’s Art of D/s series and Isa and Dylan play a whole heck of a lot harder in this one!! WARNING - profanities in my review are under spoiler tags!

The first book in this series came in for some considerable criticism from reviewers about the repetitive dual POV. Ella Dominguez has since addressed this and The Art of Submission that you can now buy has been significantly reworked. Personally, I think this was a brave and inspired move as the storyline and character development is excellent and I would now like to highly recommend this to all BDSM readers. I should warn you that these books are written for mature audiences and include profanity, graphic sexual encounters, moderate BDSM themes and mild edgeplay

So, if all that just about floats your boat, read on!!

We reconnect with Isa and Dylan some five months into their relationship. Dylan has awakened the submissive deep inside of Isa that she didn’t really understand and taught her well. Isa is, in fact. a wannabe switch and there is an Isa Domme lurking under her submissive exterior that it is itching to get out and give Dylan a good flogging for all the drama he has put her through. I have to say, she’s not a very convincing domme but, occasionally, when the situation calls for it, Isa completely unleashes her and she is very impressive. So they’re living in a little D/s cocoon but both of their traumatic pasts are going to rear their ugly heads and come roaring back to haunt them in spectacular fashion!

The dual POV is still used in this book but it works excellently. There’s no repetitiveness and Ella Dominguez does a really good job of giving Dylan and Isa different voices in your head. Dylan is hard to get a handle on – his overwhelming love for Isa is apparent but he’s guarded, keeps things close to his chest when he should really be sharing, his voice is harsh and dominant but I think I finally connected with him fully before the novel was half way through. Isa’s voice is significantly different. Dylan may call her a pussycat but she is in fact a feisty little hellcat. Yes, she’s submissive but she’s got a red hot temper and finds it hard to restrain herself when she sees red. She’s also absolutely hilarious and her inner monologue had me absolutely in stitches with her scene-stealing lines!!

I had several doubts about Dylan as a dominant. I didn’t doubt how absolutely he loved Isa but it takes him a long time to be 100% honest with her and this ‘lying by omission’ nearly costs them dear. Honesty is so important in a BDSM relationship and he learns this lesson very much the hard way. There were times when I wanted to slap him for his stupidity and others when I just wanted to melt into a submissive puddle at his feet. Turns out, he’s been holding back on Isa and what they’ve been doing so far has just been vanilla with a twist and, encouraged by Isa, Dylan unleashes the hard-core sadist he’s been holding back and they indulge in some much more edgier play than we saw in The Art of Submission. In fact, it’s incredibly hot and I suggest you keep a well replenished supply of batteries on hand when reading some of these!!

Holy soaked panties

Isa was a heroine that I absolutely came to adore during The Art of Domination. She’s grown so much and is virtually unrecognisable from the timid soul that we first met at the beginning of the first book. She is, without doubt, a little hellion and she’s always going to be calling Dylan on his bullshit. She knows when he’s lying to her and this is when she unleashes the Isa Domme!! Mostly though, she’s his submissive and, although shocked by her sadist master, relishes the harder action and in fact thrives on it becomes dirtier and dirtier and more and more perfect for Dylan!

Now, despite the fact this is a BDSM story, there’s actually a thumping good plotline going on too and this story is action-packed and thunders along at a breakneck speed with ghosts of their past coming back to haunt them spectacularly and both Isa and Dylan find themselves in precarious situations and not all of this is resolved leaving us open for a third book in the series. Yay!! The anger Dylan displays when Isa is threatened is pantie-melting HAWT!

Holy testy male specimen

For me, having not yet read the reworked version of the first book, I thought that this was much better and found that their interaction both in and out of the bedroom really quite captivating. Dylan has grown so much with Isa and is now able to show his vulnerability that he has kept under lock and key for so long and Isa has blossomed beautifully as a submissive under his instruction and is now learning to switch much to Dylan’s delight. This was a great angsty and suspenseful read – just the way I like them. Highly recommended!

The journey to re-write my Art of D/s trilogy begins today. Technically, it began several months ago, having unpublished all three books and completed one chapter.

When I say re-write, that's precisely what I mean. I am completely over-hauling all three books. What was originally written in first person narrative is being changed to third person. It's quite a daunting undertaking, especially when considering how lengthy the books are. But, I genuinely believe that this change is for the best.

It will allow for more description, better allowing the reader to experience what the characters see and feel.

With this comes new covers and new titles, as well as new material. I'm excited, while at the same time scared, as I don't want to let my fans down, nor do I want to taint the memory of Isa, Dylan and Sawyer.

I cannot definitively say when I will be done. I want to take my time and get this right with the hopes that the changes will garner more exposure, perhaps even a publishing deal.

Wish me luck.

★★★★★! The Art of D/s, book 2 of 3. The continuation of Dylan’s & Isa’s whirlwind saga of BDSM sexual exploration, personal growth, demons, villains, lies & deceit against passionate love.

“She breathes in as I breathe out and her lungs fill with the air that was inside of me. I love her completely and I love giving her life as she gives me life. I breathe in her quintessence and it’s cathartic.”

The Art of D/s trilogy is an epic saga of self-discovery, pushing all sexual limits and an all-consuming love. It starts off as the whirlwind romance of Dylan and Isa, two flawed, lonely and broken souls who embark on a co-dependent journey of sexual exploration while fighting demons and villains from their pasts.

This Art of D/s series should be read in order:
Book 1: The Art of Submission
Book 2: The Art of Domination
Book 3: The Art of Control

 photo DominguezArtofDom2HerobySueBee_zpsf041d4ca.jpg

In book 1 we met Dylan Young, a natural, skilled and experienced Dom as he first became obsessed with Isa, the artist and soon discovered she had submissive tendencies. We followed as he pursued a BDSM relationship with her, but their relationship quickly became blurry with the in control Dylan bending and compromising and the semi-submissive Isa showing a bossy, dominant side.

In the five months since book 1 ended their relationship has settled into some exploration of BDSM, but mostly vanilla sex with a twist.

Book 2 opens up with another set of villains from the past set out to blackmail Dylan. His world spins out of control with lies and deceit frantically trying to protect his relationship with Isa. In his desperation he coerces Isa into marriage. And so their whirlwind romance continues…

Dylan is even more intense in his need and love for Isa:

“Never. I’ll never let you go. I want you to want to stay, Isabel, but if you think for one minute I won’t tie you down and keep you here against your will, you’ve sorely misjudged me.”

And he continues to bend and compromise:

“What the living f~ck? Of course, the p~ssy-whipped jackass that I am, I follow her like a puppy dog, five steps behind her pouting ass. I make it to the bedroom in time to have the door promptly slammed in my face.”

 photo DominguezArtofDom2HeroinebySueBee_zps9d9addd4.jpg

Isa has come a long way since the innocent and soft-spoken young artist we met in book 1. She is much more self-assured and mature. Dylan is impressed:

“I can hardly remember her being shy anymore. Well, her version of shy. Even though she’s always been a very eager semi-submissive and semi-Domme.”

Just like book 1, book 2 is every bit the rollercoaster of villains and demons from the past set out to hurt and break them apart; lies are told and secrets are kept and everything unravels and comes to several crashing blows and neither Dylan and Isa are safe. Through it all their relationship is tested and they are both forced to confront their pasts and their demons. A continued journey of self-discovery and fulfillment for both Dylan and Isa. Again no cliffhanger, but epilogue finishes up with another villain making itself known leading us to book 3, the conclusion of Dylan and Isa.

Their sexual relationship goes through a transformation as well. Starting off as vanilla with a twist; Dom Dylan and Semi-sub Isa. With Isa demanding the truth Dylan reveals his sadist part and they set out to explore:

“You’re going to experience the Dom I used to be; the real Dom. The Dom that likes things dirty and depraved. The Dom that now owns you completely. There are no safe words tonight, Isabel. You’ll have to trust me to know what you can and cannot handle. I won’t hurt you, but I’ll push your limits beyond what you’ve experienced before.”

Soon they discover that Isa has a propensity for pain and so they are well on track to exploring their BDSM again. Only for Isa’s Semi-domme to keep poking out:

“Yes, you’re right. I want to be a proper submissive for you. I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately, as well. I want to learn from you, Dylan. I want to be the Master of my Universe, too.” Her response floors me.”

Their co-dependent love in all its turmoil is mesmerizing:

“His gaze is burning into my soul and I ache to have him again and again and again. I just want to crawl inside his heart and exist there forever.”

*I would describe the BDSM sex scenes in this series as medium. I felt the sex was always consensual and while it was, at times, violent including oral, anal, bondage, flogging, whipping, biting, cutting, with-holding and some intimidation, there was NO choking, fisting, caning, rapes nor multiple sex partners.

“She’s belonged to me her whole life, but I only got my hands on her five months ago”

Dylan and Isa’s story continues where it left off, Erika is back and ready to tear everything Dylan and Isa has built together. Only Dylan is ready to go down without a fight, he needs to protect their life and if my keeping Erika’s demands a secret then so be it. Dylan knows he’s playing a dangerous game, he knows Isa can’t stand any kind of lie, but he can’t risk her knowing his secret. There is nothing more than Dylan is scared of than the thought of Isa leaving his side
“What am I?” he asks. I’m not sure what he means by that.
“My Sir.”
“What else?”
“My Master?”
“And?”
“My husband?”
He smiles devilishly at me and asks one more thing, “And what else?” Shit, I don’t know. I sit quietly not knowing what else he wants to hear. He releases my jaw and his hand slides down my belly slowly to my pussy. He slips two fingers inside of me and then answers his own question. “Your owner,” he says asfingers me. “And this pussy belongs to me. Only me.”

Unfortunately for Dylan, Isa finds out, but as she promised there is nothing he could do or say that would change the way she feels about him. But his secret isn’t the only thing that changes, the man she knew was holding back
You’re going to experience the Dom I used to be; the real Dom. The Dom that likes things dirty and depraved. The Dom that now owns you completely. There are no safe words tonight, Isabel. You’ll have to trust me to know what you can and cannot handle. I won’t hurt you, but I’ll push your limits beyond what you’ve experienced before.

Isa learns something about herself, something about herself that she isn’t ready to accept. But she needs this, whatever it is, she needs to be enough for him, she needs to give him everything he needs, letting her insecurities rule her decisions.
“Please, Sir, make it hurt.”

My perfect little angel likes pain.

She knows there is more that Dylan is hiding, but she doesn’t have time to confront him about it, another female from Dylan’s past is out to hurt her. Isa’s mind is a t a fragile state, having come to terms with the truth of her mother’s death. All this occurs days and weeks before her big showing, thanks to Dylan, she gets to show her inner most personal desires.

I honestly can’t wait for the third book, there are those who want to see that Dylan and Isa never get their happily ever after, but karma’s a bitch. I hope to see more of Isa’s dominant side, I think my most favorite part of the book was when they went to the club, I freaking cheered her on as I was reading.

Wow! I devoured this book. The Art of Domination is the second book in the series after The Art of Submission. It continues the story of uber hot Dom Dylan and his sub Isabel, his artistic muse. It delves much deeper into their love story, their need for all things BDSM and control. Isa has been abused as a child thru adulthood by her father and she needs the control from Dylan to keep her grounded. She also needs the bite of pain to give her pleasure. They're a perfect fit.

Dylan and Isa have a lot of things going against them in this book. Dylan continues to hold back on his past as he's afraid to lose Isa. Isa's dad is also always lurking in the background...I'm waiting for him to show his miserable face in the story. This book they grow as a couple, deal with a lot of conflicts, enemies to face, internal demons to put to rest. The book is filled with plenty of angst, conflict, edge of your seat excitement, and seriously holy hotness scenes in the dungeon. That aspect has really been ramped up in this book.

The banana scene cracked me up! I love a book that'll make me laugh just from their banter. And how they always seem to "make up." Woah. Scenes were steamy.

Sexy gifs photo: 245490.gif

I loved to get to see Isabel's Domme side come out again. I'd like to see more of that, in fact. To see Dylan switch so Isa can explore that side of her personality is hot and captivating as hell.

The writing was really well done..the dual POV flowed better with this book than the first. Character development is strengthened with internal monologues and their interaction. Dylan isn't a perfect man and he makes mistakes but he does them for the right reasons and his love for Isa is palpable.

Go forth and read this series.... As long as you can stand moderate BDSM scenes. It's a great ride!

Looking forward to the final installment later this month The Art of Control.

As a side note, Ms Dominguez, please let Dylan know- if you ever get tired of boring little Isabel...... Sexy gifs photo: 2m5cpiw.gif

5+++ Panting Soaking- HOT Sex- Twisted- Psychotic-Demented- Heart Wrenching- Raw STARS

WOW WOW WOW. This series took me on a crazy roller caster ride that I didn't want to get off. There was so much emotions that I didn't know what do with myself. From the heart wrenching drama to the WILD HOT SEX. You! Ella Dominguez did a amazing job on this book. Your writing is so captivating and raw that I felt every single emotion written on those pages. The hero Dylan, heroin Isabel and all the rest of the characters had me on the edge of a cliff. I love it when a book gets me all worked up and beside myself.

"Oh dear me, look at that. He's fully erect and he has his yummy big dick in his hand as he's slowing stroking himself." Isabel

"I need this thing that he gives to me; this discipline; his love; and his unconditional acceptance of me. And I can't deny that I need to be fucked and taken like this; I don't want it any other way. I don't want any other man" Isabel

"Tell me you still love me, Isabel. Tell me. I need to hear it." Dylan

"That's the only kind of happily ever after I want, love" Dylan

Fabulous!!!!
“All I think about is you…..”
“I love and live for only you…...”
“I want only you…..”
Dylan Young
Dylan and Isa are, without doubt, one intense, crazy couple!!!!

They are 5 months into their BDSM relationship and Isa vows to stay with Dylan, but will they survive the drama that is their life?

Dylan is closed off and secretive about his past, he’s threatened by an ex-lover and everything he knows and loves is put at risk.

This story has it all!!! It’s highly erotic, humorous, suspensful, dark and mysterious…......…the characters are amazing together..…...…hot, hot, hot!!!!

Dylan reveals his true dominant and sadistic nature to Isa!!!! Yikes, he becomes scary and mean and as a reader you become concerned as to how far he will push her??? When does it become unacceptable???
“There are no safe words tonight, Isabel. You’ll have to trust me to know what you can and cannot handle……I’ll push your limits….”
It’s a dark, uncomfortable read at times, some of the shenanigans make you wince but they are both on board with it, this makes it ok?………I think………The fact is throughout it all, Isa goes along with Dylan’s wishes and fantasies. Does she have a choice? Actually, yes I believe she does, at all times, but she enjoys pleasing him and as she says, “….something about Dylan brings out my darkside.” Isa enjoys their sexcapades, they arouse her and she loves pleasing her man and being his submissive. She wants to belong to him and in Isa’s words….
“I’d be lying to myself if I said I didn’t enjoy this. Yes. I enjoy it. More than that – I love it.”
Isa has her own dominant tendencies, but to what extent can they be revealed?
Dylan says,
“I love when you’re submissive…...
I love when you’re defiant……..
I love everything about you……..”
“My heart skips a beat and my panties dampen to his words.”

It’s a story with a BDSM theme…….highly erotic………..dark……..…intense….……humiliating (sometimes) but for me, most of all, this book is about a couples passionate, irrevocable love for one another and the way they choose to express it.

“He’s helped me learn to like myself.”

“I own you, Isabel Young – all of you - mind, body and soul. Your body is mine to do whatever I want with it,” he says as he bites my earlobe."

“Because you’ve taught me how to love.” Dylan Young

“He smiles at me and his eyes gloss over. His gaze is burning into my sole and I ache to have him again and again and again. I just want to crawl inside his heart and exist there forever.”

“She’s belonged to me her whole life, but I only got my hands on her five months ago.”

“Dylan is without a doubt, mantastic.”

So, book one was just kind of okay (to me). I did rate it 4-stars, but I did so begrudgingly.

ANYWAY! This one was sooooooo much better.
The last one had an amazing cliffhanger, and this one picked up perfectly and did not disappoint.
Last one was meh..but this one was in your face like...
description

The last book of course had loads of hotness, but this one was topped anything the other book even tried to do. I think the author became more comfortable with the characters, and made them more realistic than in book one.
I think that's one of the reasons I didn't care for book one as much, it was light, but tried to seem dark. With this one, the author was not afraid to get dark and dirty with the H/h. And that made me very happy.
description

What I didn't like...
The ending/cliffhanger wasn't as strong as the first book.
Granted, I've already downloaded the next book, I'm just not as excited about where the story seems to be going as I was leading into book 2.

description
What I did like...
The drama and the angst!
Ah!!! There was so much. I couldn't get enough.
There was lying , secrets , action , sexy time ...simply, amazing. I could go on and on and on and on..but I wont. It was just great.

To sum it up, this is how I feel about the whole book.
Every. Part.

NEW FAVORITE!!! A MUST READ!

This book was like a roller coaster ride. Now there are some roller-coasters that are just plain scary and you want off NOW! This one is a thrill ride full of twists and turns and when you get off you shout AGAIN!

I absolutely loved this second book from Ella Dominguez. I was hesitant to read it because book one was not the best for me. (I understand that I read and earlier copy and the author since reworked it to much better reviews) I am SO glad I took the time to read this one.

If I had to sum this book up in one word it would be:
(you'll have to read it to figure out why!)

Isa and Dylan have been together for six months in this book. They are learning about each other and what it means to be a Dominant and a submissive. Isa has trouble giving up control and Dylan struggles to understand what he wants from her. Secrets are revealed, feelings get trampled on and Isa and Dylan are forced to figure some things out.

Amidst all of the drama and intense suspense are seriously HOT scenes between Isa and Dylan. For all the drama outside of the bedroom they have it in spades in the bedroom. There is humor and Isa shows her sassy side.

"The gall. I wouldn't fuck him now if my clit was on fire and needed to be doused with nub-saving cum. I roll my eyes at him"

I fell for these characters and got sucked into their story. I adore that Isa doesn't take anything lying down (ok, well maybe when sex is involved she does) She is a strong woman. I also love that Dylan is not just interested in getting off, he actually cares deeply for Isa. This makes all of the crazy shit he does make sense. He tries to protect her and keep her happy but in the end he ends up causing more trouble. I loved to see this author grow and the writing in this installment is absolutely amazing.

LOVE THIS BOOK! 5 stars.
Hope to see lot's more from this author!

Once again I find myself conflicted here. I had originally given this 3 stars but after writing my review moved it up to 4. The story is fun and steamy, a continuation starting five months after the first. In the interim, Isa and Dylan have been getting to know each other and building their relationship. I loved the chemistry between them. Plus there was quite a bit of action (ha ha, besides just the hot sex) and suspense. I enjoyed having the different points of views, much better done in this book than the first. The technical issues with the first book (quotations, dialogue) were fixed in this one, as well, so that is a definite plus. This book delved much deeper into the world of BDSM as well.

My biggest issue with this book was Dylan himself. I absolutely loved Dylan in book 1. He was not perfect by any means, he made mistakes, but he was a great guy. In this book, he is too domineering, too controlling. He wants to control Isa 24/7, not allowing her a say in anything…which, if they were in a typical D/s relationship would not be such a big deal and actually I could have respected that. However, they are now married; she is his wife, not just his sub, and although he obviously cared for her, he had absolutely no respect for her. At times I even thought his behavior as borderline abusive rather than hot and sexy like it was supposed to be. Isa herself was a bit too wishy-washy, although she had that issue in the first book as well. She would start to stand up for herself but then back down with the promise of great sex (and it was great!). At times it almost seemed that she did not feel safe and was afraid of what her Dom was going to do. I would love to have seen her stick to one of her decisions…to make Dylan realize that her feelings are important too.

I did like that we got to see more into Dylan's past. Overall, I enjoyed the story and look forward to more.

~Holy Soaked Panties! Another great book in this Trilogy~

This was a nail biting, sexually charged follow up to The Art of Submission, in which we see Dylan and Isa's relationship develop and evolve as they learn more about each other desires, secrets and fantasies.

[image error] photo iStock_000003159332Small_zps20730dd2.jpg

This was another knicker smokin' gift delivered by Ella Dominguez, all wrapped up with suspense, plenty of angst and mystery.

In saying all of the above, however, I cant quite put my finger on why exactly, but I was easily distracted while reading this book, and took almost a week and a half to finish it.

[image error] photo Rv6El_zpsc45c8f41.gif

I think maybe this was because most of the action was left until the last few chapters. The Epilogue in particular was amazing, and would have preferred this kind of pace throughout.

This ends on an almighty cliff hanger ... Thank goodness book #3 is already released.

Isabel has discovered what she really is in this book and so too Dylan. There were shades of their alter egos in the first book and again in the Art of Domination. I enjoyed the read, albeit not as much as the first book and was even tempted to skim a few times, but didn't.

There was drama, suspense and intrigue in this book which will lead us further on the trail of Isabel's past. The sex scenes were (and I can't believe I'm about to say this), a little too much. Not for quality but more for their lack of adding anything extra to the story.

I'm still on my journey to get to Sawyer.

3 1/2 stars.

"Does an angel contemplate my fate
And through it all she offers me protection
A lot of love and affection
Whether I'm right or wrong".
Robbie Williams, 'Angel'.

Isabel
"I'm such a good girl for him. He loves me. I know he does."

In this second book, it has been four months of Isabel & Dylan's intense relationship. Dylan, restraining his dominant side, and Isabel wanting to know more about Dylan and with her Domme side coming alive.

After a serious, delirious, mindfucking, sick, intense, overwhelming, sexed-up relationship and several weird, frantic, lunatic events surrounding them, they established their commitment for life.

Erika, Dylan's ex,is here: he wants him back, and he'll blackmail him to obtain what she wants. But there's another woman coming into the story, and she'll not only blackmail him, but would kill for him.

I must pause here... what the heck were you thinking about, Ms. Dominguez?

I'm plenty of questions

"Because this is what you want in a woman. Complete mindless submissiveness. I love you and I want to give you whatever it is that you want, Sir. And most important what you feel you need."

I tried, really tried to understand your character [Isabel], but just couldn't relate, nor comprehend her. Maybe... I might be not so open-minded as I thought I was.

How could she leave him total control of her soul and body?

"He yearns for this kind of control. Erika showing up in our lives has sown me that. I love him. I want this for Dylan just as much as I mywant this for myself. I want to prove to him and to myself that I can be the submissive that he wants; that he needs. I can do this."

How much does she want to force her limits for him?
How much does she want to satisfy him?

"I get to the task of finding our contract to print out a new copy. I pull up his personal files and search for 'mytalentedartist'. What a sweet file for our contract. God I love that man."

How can someone could be a wife AND a sub at the same time? Please, help me understand this one!

"'I'll paint something, alright. I'll paint your balls blue and your nipples hot pink if you think or talk about anyone's ass but mine', she says as she marches out of the office".

I understand how we could feel protective, or even possessive of someone during a relationship, but their relationship goes beyond my understanding and limits.

Eventhough this, Dylan professes his love for her. Even they both broken. They're good for each other, because they complement each other, in their freaky way.

Dylan
"She's beautiful; I wish she could see that. I guess we're all our own worst enemies. I wonder what she really thinks of me; if she finds me attractive. Everyone has a negative inner voice and I know some worse than others".

And despite all, Dylan is her best ally.

"'People will think I'm a dirty girl', I tell him.

He smiles at me and gives me his sarcastic stare. 'You are a dirty girl. So what?'

I can't argue with that."

Dear Ms. Dominguez,

Anyway, thanks for making my mind flipped on her own. I'm awaiting book #3 and so. [Well, maybe not, I'm beta reading it ;)]

Ella Dominguez is proving to be a strong voice and a HOT new talent to watch in the world of BDSM 'erotica' Fiction.

Book Review: The Art of Domination (Book 2) – Ella Dominguez

'Holy sweet world of domination,' did Ella whip this up a crack or two. <--- ha, see what I did there. Eat your heart out Dylan Young, I can play on words too!

What an incredible second instalment. The writing and flow has gone up ten-fold in this sequel which incorporates a thicker plot that flows consistently well, enough so that by 60% you will be holding on to the edge of your seat by your wet panties.

I don’t deny that I had a few issues with the double POV in The Art of Submission, but Ella has taken on board some of her reader’s comments and come back with a cracking vengeance to prove that Double POV truly can work in a scene succession format.

Dylan Young… what an intense, dominating, possessive son of a handsome bitch. Goodness me. There were times I almost felt the need to jump out of my beloved reading chair and hit the floor in a kneeling position, eyes down, in order to continue with each scene because not only is Dylan Young’s character completely captivating but, YES. HE REALLY IS THAT INTIMIDATING!

”Speak pussycat; tell your Master you love him.”

I don't like comparing characters in books as I feel it necessary to keep each novel by each author separate as they all have an identity and a magic of their own. But… for those of you who may have recently jumped on the high street paperback Fifty Shades and Bared to you love wagon, then The Art of Domination just upped the stakes in alpha male intensity - Set those hard limits a little higher, and give you an insight of what it’s like to be a true Dominant.

Yes, Dylan has a shady past, and yes, he has deep regrets but he also knows that the dominant male in him was present since birth. He didn't have an abusive past that has been factored into his current afflictions; in fact we learn that he had quite a normal upbringing with his dominant streak inherited genetically from his Father. This is a man who is centre of his own universe. He’s invincible. With wealth, connections and a team of loyal associates, no one can touch Dylan young. He has no limitations and no weaknesses.

That is… until now.

Isabel Ibanez waltzed into his life when he least expected it, like a whirlwind she knocked him sideways and proved that love could exist in a Dom/Sub relationship. Now, five months into their kinky love-fest Dylan knows that this woman is IT for him and wants nothing more than to put a ring on her finger.

”Did you really mean it when you said I’ve belonged to you my whole life?”
“Absolutely. You’re everything I’ve ever wanted. I just didn’t know it until I met you.”

”I love you completely.”

Isa cannot live without Dylan, he is everything she has ever wanted. He is a man of his word, one she can trust with her heart, her soul and her life. When she agrees to a quick private ceremony she feels her life is where it should be now. With the man she loves - Her soul mate. Her Dom.

But, when their Honeymoon period becomes fraught with threats and a face from Dylan’s past makes a reappearance with a vice for causing trouble, Isa wasn’t quite prepared for the depths others will go to, to voice their irritation and annoyance at their hasty nuptials.

When Isa’s Father gets the scoop on the story, he toys with his Daughter’s emotions, knowing that Dylan has the power to cause him some ‘unwanted’ attention. With Dylan privy to Isa’s abusive past at his hand, Mr Ibanez immediately puts Dylan on the dangerous enemy list.

But this is the least of their worries for now, because it looks like there could be mole in Dylan’s tight network, and this kind of leak will not only have devastating effects, it could literally destroy everything.

*

Where Isa’s character paints pictures with inner vision, Ella Dominguez paints pictures with words. Each scene is captivating and really pulls you in. The intensity of their relationship grips you and yet you still feel the heartfelt love and affection that Isa and Dylan feel for each other. It’s not always healthy, but it’s true and that’s what matters.

There were moments when I cringed, literally! Dylan has his moments, and there will be times where you won’t particularly like him, then he will redeem himself in the next breathe by saying or doing something that will knock you bandy! Honestly, this dude knows how to play a role, and Ella’s hard work and dedication in delivering an honest account of dominant role-play is valiant.

The characterisation has grown exponentially and I am excited to read more about Sawyer. We see a bigger glimpse of the quiet man who protects in the shadows and I think I’m crushing on him, just a little. ;)

And can I just say… EPILOGUE? Wow, talk about how to set up book 3. Can’t wait!

An excellent, well thought out sequel that is well deserving of 4.5 very shiny STARS.

Never have I had a book go from "I'm seriously thinking about not finishing this" to "OMG, it's freaking awesome and it's a solid four star". What a total cray cray mess filled with drama from page one all the way until the end. At least Dylan and Isa recognize that it's nothing but drama from beginning to end. I did not like this book's Dylan as much as I liked the Dylan in the first book, although I will agree that once she finally safe worded at the cabin, he really redeemed himself...so...if anyone reading this book is really hating this guy and wanting to take him out back and beat the crap out of him like I was, hang on until she utters the word "cayenne". I will not lie. The edge play made me extremely uncomfortable and really pushed my boundaries, as well as the human furniture objectification, the name calling, and the humiliation and degradation. All I can think is that the whole Erika issue must have really pushed Dylan's inner Dom up to the surface, and once that was out of the way and she truly submitted to him, he realized it wasn't what he wanted after all. As for Isa, my eyes were bugging out with how she was allowing him to treat her...and it was not exactly consensual...but thank GOODNESS her inner bitch Domme finally came out and she laid down the law. There is so much WRONG in this book, but these two really are each other's soulmates when they aren't beating the crap out of each other and screwing each other's brains out, they are completely and totally in love with each other and can't live without the other and yes, I am looking forward to book three!!! The absolutely best part of this book: Excellent writing and a WONDERFUL sequel to the second book. I still want to take Dylan out back and kick his ass, but Isa loves him and that's all that matters.

Holy spicy guacamole.
Stutter, gulp, sigh...
Well, this book isn't for the weak sauces of the world, or the conservative sexers...or the prudes and it probably not for the grandma's either...at least not any I've ever known.
I really enjoyed these books and not just for the juicy knock your socks off disturbing SEX. I really loved the main characters Dylan and Isabel. They were both so well developed and I really felt like I knew them. I totally want to experience an hour or two inside their bubble, although I would most likely not come out the same. Together they were redick! I was like "what the what?!" And then "how the...huh?" Does that make sense? Lol.
I thought the story was great, I loved that Isabel is an artist (being one myself) so I totally understood her use for art as an outlet and de-stresser. Dylan was certainly inspiring.
I'm not going to get into the details of this book but I will say that I totally enjoyed it, even the cringe-worthy moments. Maybe that makes me a bit freaky, but I'll own up to it.
Thanks Ella, for giving me something out of the ordinary. This will stand out for me and I look forward to the next one.
Ps: the artwork is stunning.

4.5 stars Loved this sequel, Dylan and Isa have been in d/s bliss for 5 months but that all changes after a call from Dylan's past.

Isa is so strong in this book and puts up with so much stuff (not the word I want to use) from Dylan. I wanted to scream at him so many times but that's what I loved about this book, I am a complete angst fiend.

Their bdsm increases from vanilla with a twist to more hardcore scenes after Dylan finally reveals his true dom nature and extreme desires.

Dylan's past is a huge part of this book but Isa is determined to stand by him whatever it might be the only person capable of forcing her away is Dylan himself (just tell the truth next time grrr)

Loved the new writing style, it is dual POV again but the story continues with each different view rather than repeat the same scene again.

Going to move on to the final book and pray for a happy ending for this flawed pair.

I loved it. Just loved it. Dylan finally get to show his dominant side and it made me want to fall at his feet. Lol. The dynamics of this relationship is so interesting. At this point in their relationship, Isa and Dylan both are struggling with their role in their new marriage. Isa wants to know things about her new husband but Dylan is very secretive. There are things that he don't want exposed in fear that Isabel will leave him. Someone from his past is threatening to expose those things and soon Isa learns that there are many people who want to harm them. Jealous sets in and Isa wants to please Dylan so she tries to give Dylan what she thinks he want...a true submissive. However, Isa doesn't know how long that can last since her alter ego, Mistress Isabel, is screaming to be released. As danger approaches, Isa learns more about her husband and herself.

I just want to say that I wasn't sure that Dylan was a true Dom n the last book. He was too busy trying to get Isa to trust him and not push her because of her abusive past. In this, he is testing the waters and he let his sadist side show. I love it. When he got all alpha and crazy, I felt like Isa, all gooey inside. Sure, there are times when he is an asshole but I needed to see who he really is as a man. I have to admit that I wanted to strangle him because I think he should have told her the truth from the start so they could fight together but even after learning about his past, I could understand since he was no joke in his past life.

I felt bad when the bad guys got a hold of Isa and I was so glad Dylan was patient with her. She got her revenge when Mistress Isabel showed up at the club. I was chanting and cheering her on. I loved that scene. Mistress Isabel is a bad bitch. LOL.

I knew life could not be so sweet by the end and I need the next book like I need oxygen. Hurry up, Ella. Get to writing!!! I don't want to wait too long :)

Overall, good book. I will definitely pick up the next in the series.

4 Stars!

Love, desire, intensity, darkness, drama, sexiness and challenging are just a few ways to describe book 2.

As we know, book 1 left us with a huge dramatic cliffhanger and we know very well who is about to resurface and pop our already fragile bubble known as Dylan and Isabel Young. In 5 short months, they have taken their relationship to a new level and Isabel is still adjusting to becoming a complete submissive. In the beginning of this book, I felt Dylan working my last nerve with his uber dominant tendencies and even worried that he was pushing Isabel too far. After all, she is emotionally scarred, fragile and a self-degrading individual. Isabel's self deception and issues at hand are completely understandable as the reader is allowed a complete recap of Isabel's childhood. I just want to hug her numerous times throughout the book!

When the shit storm (Erika) blows into town, all hell breaks loose. The non-stop drama is awesome! Twists and turns happen that I did not see coming at all. Dylan's lying to Isabel was almost too much to take but not to worry, Isabel stands her ground. There is a snitch, a backstabber and a psychotic bitch who have entered the story line. Gunfire, an attacker and security breach all make a presence. Not to mention, dark, gritty, cringe-worthy and completely sexy erotic counters with the ever so gorgeous Sir/Master/Sugar Dylan Young and Submissive/Love/Mistress Isabel. The great thing is that we have a true switch with each of the characters that entices the reader to want to know how the next 'scene' will unfold as we never know who could possibly be in charge.

And the Epilogue?!?! Holy hell!!! Sawyer, I need to give you a running leap-into-your-arms hug! You know book 3 is going to involve that jerk, Mr. Ibanez.

Would I recommend this series? Absolutely!

Off to book 3!

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!! I am so completely wrapped up in this series. I’m not sure I can put into words how much I love it. It’s sexy and steamy, but there’s also romance, suspense, and a little bit of humor. Dylan’s wordplay actually had me laughing out loud.

“Did you really just fruitally assault me?”

(I absolutely adore his quirky sense of humor!)

This book picks up right where The Art of Submission ended, 5 months into their relationship. Dylan is ready to take his relationship with Isabel to the next level. Isa’s not quite as sure because she knows Dylan is still keeping secrets from her. Add to that Isa’s upcoming art gallery debut, some meddling from Dylan’s former sub Erika, and Isa’s abusive father and you’ve got all sorts of drama.

I will admit this book was a bit darker than the first. Dylan’s true colors begin to show and we see more of his sadistic side. But I love watching their relationship grow and evolve into something that works for both of them. Can’t wait to get started on The Art of Control!
