Lasairiona McMaster writes sassy, classy and badassy women and strong, yet vulnerable men.

She challenges reader’s expectations by openly dealing with mental health issues, often exploring tough-to-handle topics and ‘taboos’ and books with a whole lotta heart.

She can either be found enjoying a gin and lemonade by the Irish sea, or baking sweet treats in her kitchen while singing at the top of her lungs.

When she’s ‘home’ in Texas, and isn’t eating fresh-popped popcorn while buying things she has absolutely no need for in Target, she can be found at Chuys eating her body weight in chips and queso and washing it down with a margarita swirl.

If Lasairiona writes it, I'm gonna read it. This was a cute little novella taking place after the events of book six of the Snow Pirates series. It was a great bridge between that series and her next hockey series. I loved that most of the original characters were present here. It was so nice to see everyone so happy. Also, Austin and Kenzie's story was one of my absolute favorites, so the fact that they were the stars here was everything to me. AND THE SPICE!! omg for such a short book this was full of spice and I loved all of it. The introduction to the new characters was done well, I wish we would have gotten a bit more from them, but I know their time is coming soon! This was exactly the type of quick book I needed and I can't wait for more!

Finally found time to read this little novella! I admit, Austen and Kenzie were not my favourite couple, but diving back into the Snow Pirates was so fun! I loved seeing the gang back together and I loved seeing a HEA!

Reasons I Recommend:

1) The Snow Pirates are awesome

2) Kenzie is very funny and I love how despite her being “submissive” she’s so not and

3) Seeing Austen in the end and his happiness, is so nice!

Perfect novella to start a new series

It was a great introduction to the series that will be written and the flashback of the players from the good old Snow Pirates. Really forward to the series as it seems like it will be some interesting characters.

Mackenzie is with her team the Minnesota Snow Pirates Hockey team. However, she and the love of her life, Austin are on a date. Even on away games they still do date nights. Even though Austin graduated he wanted Lincoln, Justin, and the rest of the team to know he still supports them. With him having to run his father's billions of dollars empire he gave up all his dreams of going pro.

However, Kenzie knows the truth because of, his kinks and true self that come out at the sex clubs. He does have part ownership in them and he shows her that he needs, to go for his dreams, again. He has his dad’s empire in order enough, that it can run itself for him, to follow his dreams now. So, Mackenzie wants him, to be happy and feels it's time, to share her thoughts. Their date night, however, is crashed by her team. She is having, to deal with disappointment. And there is one rookie that does not have an edit button, and no decorum, to realize he is in the Racoon territory. And that he should not be running his mouth, against the competition in their house, more or less. So, when, Theo starts dissing the other team in front of, the locals before they got their food, she flicks him.

The only thing saving it is, the man she’s with. Until he tries to order her mock-a-mole. She’s like, not for this, Texas girl you don't. As not to upset, the Texan by giving her anything less than authentic guacamole. Only real avocados would be used. However, she did get her eco straws out, to use with the order of water they asked for. To which Austin said, he is proud of her for getting, the water. Saying she needed, to be careful because she had already, given two eye rolls. To which she remarks, if his hand is getting itchy. Yeah, as in wanting to spank her. Remember sex clubs and kinks.

The de la Peña brothers have entered the building and, Theo the rookie just won’t shut up. But, when Austin greets Artemis by name. The kid turns green. It‘s all Austin can do not, to laugh out loud. The opposing team brought an Arctic chill, to their table. Apollo on the other hand is trying, to steal a chip from Kenzie. Brave man that he is or is he crazy? Not even, Austin would dare, to steal a chip from his hangry girl. Apollo mentions hearing that they had heard they, are in for an a$$ kicking. Artemis couldn't help his lips tweaking up, in a slight smile, As his twin stands right behind the troublemaker, asking the question.

Then, Ares and, Theo start, to front each other off. Making even, Austin nervous. That’s when, Apollo taps, Ares on the chest telling him he’s got it. They are about, to make a wager, and the mouthy one is at least open, to hear it. Which is making, Kenzie nervous. Kenzie kicks, Austin so he will remind them, this is a preseason game that means, nothing in the standings. The bet ends up being the one that loses and buys dinner after the next night's game. Yeah, it was not a pretty sight. The Snow Pirates lost.

The winners in all of this are Austin and, Kenzie. See how the, del la Pena can make it better. This was short but sweet. Although, I feel like it left us hanging as far as the team. It left a lot of open endings to questions about other characters. As far as the couple sweet.

This is a Snow Pirates Novella that also introduces the reader to the Cedar Rapids Racoons. Cedar Rapids is the next series from this author. This novella consists of 9 chapters and is told through Austin and Mackenzie. You may remember this couple from book 4 of the Snow Pirates series Two for Boarding.
This book is very easy to read and get sucked into. Readers who have followed the Snow Pirates Series will love seeing how Austin and Mackenzie are doing and of course the rest of the Snow Pirate. New readers don't necessarily need to have read the Snow Pirates Series but you will want to once you finish this.
This book also teases some of the characters we will get to meet in the brand new series. This novella will leave readers wanting more and excited to read the Cedar Rapids Series.
Now don't worry, Lasairiona still manages to include those steamy scenes we all know and love. But have no fear the steam is not compromised or rushed.
I personally loved this novella. I loved getting the update on the Snow Pirates and loved meeting some of the characters in the upcoming series. If this book did anything, it made me even more impatient to get my hands on the first book of the new series.

This was OK as far as novellas go but Austin and Kenzie were not my favourite couple out of the series.

I think i would have liked another Linc book as he was the first or maybe a little about all the couples.

I know this was to introduce us to the next hockey team but knowing that 2 of the main characters coming up will have had sex with one of the mfc from the last series is a bit weird (not on page)

Molly was weird in this book too. In her book she was feisty and would have been right in there with banter and having her say but in this there was a bit of trouble and she was clinging to Austin like she was scared and Austin said he needed to check if she was OK but he didn't so we don't know.

I'm glad that Austin and Kenzie are moving forward together and are happy but this novella was a little disappointing

Two for Tacos (Snow Pirates #6.5) by Lasairiona McMaster is a new adult sports romance novella told in third person dual POV that takes place after the other books in the series. The story stars Austin and Mackenzie of Two for Boarding (book 4) as the team travels to Iowa to face off against the Cedar Rapids Raccoons. This novella allows us to catch up with most of the characters of the series while it introduces us to new characters that we’ll be getting to know better in the next series. A fun, spicy read.

Posting about it later but Two For Tacos was a great appetizer for Freezing The Puck, both by McMaster.

The rivalry between the Snow Pirates and Raccoons will be known to McMaster's readers. The novella was a great way to transition from the Snow Pirates to the Raccoons and have it flow well. to flow well.

I was pleasantly surprised that the POVs were those of Austin and Kenzie, who I absolutely love. They have the maturity to view the proceedings reasonably. I sincerely hope they pop up again the Raccoon Hockey Series.

Austin & Kenzie from Two For Boarding take The Snow Pirates to play The Racoons & off ice rivalries are set in motion. This was a great bridging novella between the old & new teams, I'm not sure how I missed it when it was released. I liked reading it now as it was nostalgic seeing the Racoons before their books.

As usual with Lasairiona McMaster's book, you will laugh, and there'll be steam.
This one may be short, but it doesn't disappoint.
I enjoyed seeing well-loved characters meet the ones from the new series.

Loved this novella! Short, sweet, spicy and the perfect read to get your Snow Pirates fix and to read about the new boys 😉

This takes place after the last book in the Snow Pirates series and introduces the new lot of characters very nicely. I'm looking forward to reading more about them next year! ❤️

Characters
Kenzie and Austin are the main character this short novella, however some of the other Snow Pirates do make an appearance, along with some character’s who’ve been mentioned and will star in the upcoming Cedar Rapids series (coming soon).
Storyline
The Snow Pirates are in Cedar Rapids for a “friendly” pre-season game which means Kenzie is going along as the team Physio, and Austin has some business in town so tagged along as well. At a date night dinner for Kenzie and Austin, some of the Snow Pirates crash their dinner. Then of course some of the Cedar Rapid team members come into the restaurant and a bet ensues that leads to the drama of the novella.
Overall Thoughts
I pre-ordered this coz I knew it’d be good and boy was a right.
For just 71 pages, there was enough intensity, drama and of course sexy time to be a classic Las story. Of course I was a little upset that Kenzie’s fantasy didn’t get played out, or at least the answer given coz I’m super curious and now I gotta hope the Cedar Rapids series give me the answers I want.
