message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Uhmm... Drink deep is supposed to be published this year, 1st of November.

message 3: by AlbertaJenn (new)

AlbertaJenn There are no immediate plans to release the sequel to The Host. So a 2012 date is no-go.

message 4: by Holly (new)

Holly One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress, #6) by Jeaniene Frost is expected August 30th 2011

message 5: by Mariya (new)

Mariya I really hate when books get added that don't qualify in the list like Jeaniene Frost's One Grave at a Time and Chloe Neill's Deep Drink

message 6: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Mariya wrote: "I really hate when books get added that don't qualify in the list like Jeaniene Frost's One Grave at a Time and Chloe Neill's Deep Drink"

Easily fixed!

message 7: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Yikes, this list was a mess. I think I removed about 15 books that didn't belong. Why are people adding books released this year and last? Strange.

message 8: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Raeleen wrote: "Clockword Prince comes out in december... shouldn't be on this list"

Got it. I deleted a bunch more that snuck on as well. If anyone else finds some that came out before 2012, just click the "edit" button at the top under the title. You'll come to a new page where you can get rid of duplicates and books that don't belong. Four pages of books is a lot for me to go through ...

message 9: by Alein (new)

Alein This list is amazing!!!!! Thanks for posting this.

message 10: by Suz (new)

Suz Would love to see next year's offerings in the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire on here.

Also, Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen? I think that's misplaced.

message 11: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Suz wrote: "Would love to see next year's offerings in the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire on here.

Feel free to add the McGuire - you don't have to wait for someone else to do it. (I won't add it because I'm not a fan of the series.)

As for the Austen - I don't see it? Someone must have removed it before I got here. Also, read my post in message 9, you can edit this list yourself when you see something wrong.

message 12: by Shannon (new)

Shannon And I've deleted another handful of books. I really don't understand why people find this list confusing - books from 2004 don't belong!

message 13: by Keri (new)

Keri Those are my votes and I am sticking to them!

message 14: by Ermisenda (last edited Dec 21, 2011 08:10AM) (new)

message 15: by Daph (new)

Daph (Loving Books) Deleted Ashfall, Tankborn, Torn, Crossed and Glow (all pub 2011). Also deleted Requiem and the third book in the Chemical Garden Trilogy (pub 2013).

message 16: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra The Gates Of Paradise is coming out in Jan 2013.

message 17: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Deleted Shadow Heir, Head Rush, Instinct, Catalyst, Dorchester Terrace, Undercurrent, Reaper, Midnight Sun (really?), The Gates of Paradise (you could have done this, Cassandra!), and The Black Hawk.

2012, people. 2012!

message 18: by Oliva (new)

Oliva i thought hush hush book silence was the last book in the whole collection???????????

message 19: by Daph (new)

Daph (Loving Books) Oliva wrote: "i thought hush hush book silence was the last book in the whole collection???????????"

No, Becca announced a fourth book earlier this year :).

message 20: by Daph (new)

Daph (Loving Books) Removed the following books:
The Bitter Kingdom (2013)
The Stone Demon (2013)

message 21: by Aksaya (new)

Aksaya YES!!!! Cassandra Clare #1 and #4!!!!!!!

message 22: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Wow. I only got as far as page two but if this is what people are reading (enough that it constitutes a whole list) we are in trouble. Am I the only one that finds this sad?

message 23: by Daph (new)

Daph (Loving Books) Eileen wrote: "Wow. I only got as far as page two but if this is what people are reading (enough that it constitutes a whole list) we are in trouble. Am I the only one that finds this sad?"

How could this possibly be sad? People are reading!

message 24: by Amanda (new)

Amanda I saw some 2011 releases on this list as well. Guess some people didnt realize their anticipated books were already out.

message 25: by Oliva (new)

Oliva Lvngbooks wrote: "Oliva wrote: "i thought hush hush book silence was the last book in the whole collection???????????"

oh thanks. :)

Shannon Eileen wrote: "Wow. I only got as far as page two but if this is what people are reading (enough that it constitutes a whole list) we are in trouble. Am I the only one that finds this sad?"

I think it's sad you feel the need to put people down because of the books they like.

message 27: by Buggy (last edited Jan 04, 2012 08:02PM) (new)

Buggy Thanks Rh3a, great list giving me lots of adds to my wishlist that I had no idea were even coming out :)

message 28: by Chloe (new)

Chloe I'm a little sad that most of these books are paranormal romance. I thought we were over that trend? Also somewhat surprised at the number of series. I can't wait for the final in the "Matched" trilogy, though...but I still need to read the second one!

message 29: by Lina (new)

Lina Worked my way through two pages, but all I spy is paranormal romance and series. These are not my anticipated books of 2012!

message 30: by Dani (new)

Dani Isla and the Happily Ever After comes out oon 2013.... Stephanie Perkins announced it on her blog about a week ago :)

message 31: by Daph (new)

Daph (Loving Books) Dani wrote: "Isla and the Happily Ever After comes out oon 2013.... Stephanie Perkins announced it on her blog about a week ago :)"

Deleted it from the list :)

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Sammet wrote: "Worked my way through two pages, but all I spy is paranormal romance and series. These are not my anticipated books of 2012!"

I am with you on this!

message 33: by Ben (new)

Ben I will believe it when I see it that "The Doors of Stone" by Patrick Rothfuss comes out in 2012. The Goodreads page says 2013 and that sounds about right.

message 34: by Shannon (new)

Shannon I can't police this list anymore, when I see books from 2007 on it I die a little inside.

Nobody apparently reads my comments either.

Sad face.

message 35: by Shannon (new)

Shannon I just removed The Initiation which came out almost two decades ago.

-__-

Side note: dang, that makes me feel old ...

message 36: by Jan (new)

Jan I think some people look forward to translations or new editions though? Maybe that's it?

message 37: by Shannon (new)

Shannon That's almost never the case, unfortunately. The edition of that book I deleted was from 2002 anyway. I deleted the first Dark Hunter, the first BDB, the first Fablehaven book, and a handful of others just now too.

There is a new annotated Jane Austen book that I've left alone because it's a legitimately new version of something. If people are excited about a translation or a new edition/version, then they need to add that specific ISBN. Otherwise this list is going to get mucked up a whole lot more.

message 38: by Jan (new)

Jan True.
I started at the last page, and already deleted a couple of books either from 2011, or with release dates beyond 2012. But I've seen worse lists :)

message 39: by Shannon (new)

Shannon That's because I've been keeping an eye on it for months, lol.

; )

message 40: by Jan (new)

Jan I keep an eye on the PNR/UF series list (people can only list the first book in the series), and that thing mucks up faster than I can blink.

message 41: by Jan (last edited Jan 11, 2012 03:54PM) (new)

Jan Went through the entire thing. Deleted all books that have a publishing date after 2012 (including Kate Daniels 6 and the 7th Mercy Thompson, since those are scheduled for 2013) and books that had a publishing date before 2012, INCLUDING the edition added to the list).

Edit for clarification: If the edition that was added to the list had a publication date for 2012, even if the original publication date was before that, I left it on, because people can look forward to a specific edition.

message 42: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Very cool, thanks for taking the time!

Hopefully between the two of us now, we can keep it from getting screwed up.

message 43: by Worood (new)

Worood I'm sooooo excited about Insurgent!! I can't wait for the book t come out.

And I"m also excited about Matched #3.

Thank you for the list ^_^

message 44: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra Chloe wrote: "I'm a little sad that most of these books are paranormal romance. I thought we were over that trend? Also somewhat surprised at the number of series. I can't wait for the final in the "Matched" tri..."

Why are people over the "trend"? Did people stop reading horror or romance or scifi? People read what they like... what is wrong with that?

message 45: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Oh man, this list is screwed up again. Sean, why, why did you vote for those?

Aaaarrrggghhhh.

message 46: by Chloe (new)

Chloe Cassandra wrote: "Chloe wrote: "I'm a little sad that most of these books are paranormal romance. I thought we were over that trend? Also somewhat surprised at the number of series. I can't wait for the final in the..."

Nothing necessarily wrong with it, except that a lot of it is being published because it sells, and that doesn't always lead to good literature. I enjoyed paranormal romances, but you can only publish/read so many before you start telling the same story over and over.

message 47: by Jan (new)

Jan I'll have another look at it THT.

message 48: by Teddi (new)

Teddi Murder on Fifth Avenue by Victoria Thompson. To be available may 2012 as per her Facebook page!

message 49: by Teddi (new)

Teddi Michele wrote: "Sammet wrote: "Worked my way through two pages, but all I spy is paranormal romance and series. These are not my anticipated books of 2012!"

I am with you on this!"

I agree!Would have liked to see some mysteries too.

message 50: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Teddi wrote: "I agree!Would have liked to see some mysteries too."

Nobody is stopping you from voting for them, as long as they're published this year.

Feel free to add some to the list!
