I am from Boston, LOVE books about Boston, add in some hot firefighters and it sounds like the perfect storm. BUT and there is a big but here...I didn't care for the female lead, Lydia Kincaid...
she was kinda whiney and annoying for an adult (a divorced one at that).... I loved Aidan Hunt ... I love that he is friends with her brother and family.
There was good in this book, it wasn't all bad, it just wasn't as good as her other books. ...more
I must say, in this series, this was my least favorite book. I love this series. I really do. To be honest, I am not a fan on reality tv or fashion. That might lay a part in why I didn't love this book.
I loved Gavin and Julie. Their story was cute. I skimmed the parts with the whole tv show thing. I don't care about who won what thing that week. I found that part boring.
I was more interested in Julie and her family and Gavin and his. Then them coming together.
Wishbone was my first book by L. Sommer's. It was a fast read for me. I picked it up because I like sports romance books.
This book had a 2.5 -3 stars

This book had a lot going on story wise. Alli is fed up with her boyfriend, so she leaves him to move with her friend across the county in San Diego. While on a layover she meets Chris (who is also Shane). He is a famous baseball player, but she doesn't know who he is. They have one night and then he is called away to deal with family issues. They leave without saying goodbye.
Lucky Alli, because her BFF is also in with the baseball team, where she runs into none other than Chris/Shane. Too bad she is now dating his coach. Chris doesnt like this at all, and makes every effort to break them up.
When I say there is a lot going on plot wise... there is a lot. Cheating ex's. Cancer. Wrong names. Thrown out contacts. Death. Famous baseball players. At times, my head was spinning
