This is a short overall series review: [for the first 5 books] I enjoyed it a lot. I loved the planned overall series ARC. Had to remind myself that this is a middle grade series. OVERALL THOUGHTS ON SALLY ROONEY: i can see myself being obsessed with her books if only they were written better. the barebones idea behind her characters and the character dynamics are exactly the kind of things i want more of in litfic, except her execution just does not work for me.
