This was a quick read about two childhood friends who always carried feelings for each other, but the timing was just never right. Finally with the help of a fun and very determined group of friends, the two lovers are able to comfortably express their feelings after all these years and the story takes place over the 8 nights of Hanukkah.
There’s a bit of miscommunication that derails the relationship but it is quickly remedied and done so in a way that brings the characters closer together, and acknowledges their need to be open and honest with each other, which I really appreciated.
There is some beautiful rep in here including gorgeously and lushly written Jewish rep, realistic neurodivergent rep and beautifully described bisexual rep that was very deeply and respectfully discussed by the characters in their steamy and super consensual bedroom scenes.
If you’re in the mood for a well written friends to lovers novella with lots of mutual pining, cute nicknames and amazing friendships run and pick this up! ...more

The romance is between synagogue custodian Aaron and the wealthy Isabelle who enlists Aaron’s help to find herself a husband- and quickly before her father’s business partners force her hand into an undesirable marriage. And naturally when the two spend more time together, Isabelle begins to realize her perfect man might just have been standing in front of her this whole time.
This is a stunningly beautiful and gorgeously written and unapologetically Jewish romance that is steamy but full of so much heart that you can’t help but feel you are completely immersed in the realistic world Felícita has created for us. You will undoubtedly swoon (and blush because this book is ...more

The whole world knows her face so hiding behind her best friend’s picture sounds like a good idea in the moment. But as Kimmie and Matt, her online beau grow closer and closer, she realizes how horribly her lie could ruin chances for the sweet firefighter she’s falling for.
This is a refreshing and hilarious romcom with a new take on the mistaken identity trope and with characters that are clearly destined for each other. I love how supportive Kimmie’s friends are and how head over heels Matt was for Kimmie. A perfect read to take with you to the beech this summer! ...more

This book is lush and gorgeously written with honestly beautiful prose and witty humor. I loved how strong the heroine, Karina, was (and how snarky she could be!) and how the hero, Ian, had to work to earn her affection beyond their physical attraction.
Breaking down Karina’s barriers took a lot of patience on Ian’s part and I loved how he kept persevering, knowing Karina was worth the work! I also adored the setting of the cookie factory and the dynamics with the co-workers who were more like family than colleagues. I cannot wait to read more from this author and highly recommend picking this one up and enjoying with some warm cookies and milk. ...more

I grew This was a laugh out loud rom com that you will love if you love fun, raunchy-ish rom coms like “Bridesmaids” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”. I grew up on these movies and I think that’s why I fell in love with this book. It’s rare that I’m literally laughing out loud while also swooning at the super sweet romance between Gracie and Colin.
The “meet cute” (aka a drunk email) is what kicks this novel off and the communication between Colin and Gracie is hilarious from the start. I love how they work together and how they fall in love through their emails and in person.
If you want a laugh-out-loud rom com with heart and witty banter a la Sophie Kinsella then this is the book for you! ...more

Yes, you need to wait til the book is *almost* finished BUT I promise it is so worth it because I am STILL thinking about it months and months later.
There are two mysteries at play- one about a childhood loss in the past and on at a missing friend in the present. Readers who love Ruth Ware and Lisa Jewel will love this past/present dynamic because, as it always is, the past is connected to our present.
As the main character Delia searches for her now missing friend, she must infiltrate a women’s empowerment group that gives off very cult-y girl boss vibes. But as she gets continues her search, does she discover what happened to her lost friend or will she boss babe too close to the sun?
If you love on-the-edge-of-your-seat thrillers with culty-vibes, watching the downfall of Rachel Hollis-esque boss babes, decades long secrets that just won’t stay buried, complex female friendships, twists that make you GASP, you will LOVE and devour this book! ...more

And I’m SO glad I picked this up- I loved this book! I devoured it in a single day and loved the voicey and hilarious writing and POV of Priya. She just leaps off the page and I love the banter with Gavin. The chemistry and steam between them was palpable and I found myself chuckling throughout the book. I wasn’t as familiar with the Greek mythology but the author includes guides in her books as well as explains them so beautifully, weaving the history into the book itself. I love the unique powers the characters have and how they flesh out the characters and learning about the other gods, their powers and how they all relate to each other.
The story revolves around Hephaestus being tasked with pulling information from Lethe about the location of a special knife that can kill the gods. The only problem is, Lethe cannot remember it’s location.
This was a fast paced, steamy and gorgeously written romance between two characters with dark pasts that found redemption in each other. I loved, loved this book and cannot wait for the third in the series! ...more
