Beth is an unemployed nanny when her three gorgeous neighbours have a baby dropped off at their door, and they're not sure which one is the baby daddy. Beth meets Jack (the nerdy gamer), Cyrus (the dirty dancing stripper) and Sebastian (grumpy business man). The three of them employ her to look after the baby.
I loved Beth's relationship with each of the guys and the author made it feel super organic. Beth is just a FMC I want to wrap in a blanket and hold her. Her trauma is so beautifully written and I practically sobbed when she was rejected by her mum and grandmother.
I won't lie, the first 50 pages of this book had me worried. I wasn't immediately hooked and I wasn't loving Skylar as our FMC.

However, Skylar is an FMC that you slowly fall in love with and by the end I felt so connected to her. She deserved the world's biggest hug!
West was an excellent MMC and he's tied with Ford in the Rose Hill Series. His dirty mouth was PERFECION. Daddy Cade and Cole, your positions remain safe as Elsie Silvers Top MMC's (didn't doubt you for a moment).
The storyline wasn't my favourite but Skylar and West were such fun characters I honestly didn't mind.
Hugely excited for the next book in this series. I know Rhys is going to deliver all the daddy vibes .

I'm really not sure how we got from Fangirl Down to... this.
This book was cringey, had some of the worst dialogue I've seen from Tessa Bailey and a fairly boring MMC.
I'd honestly put money on the smut scenes being written by AI.
"Mean Daddy" she whispered, and he spent inside of her, almost like she'd sucked it clean out with two single words, his Goliath form shaking her body and the entire bed with it, deafening groans releasing against her ear, and she openly pressed closer, hoping the deep, growling sound of his pleasure would be the final thing she ever heard. "Mean, so mean, so mean," she pouted, writhing on his stiffness to rid of him those final ounces and he flattened her..." THIS ENTIRE SCENE HAD ME PUTTING MY KINDLE DOWN AND WALKING AWAY.
The 'Mean Daddy' nickname was not giving what Tessa thought it was giving... it was icky.
A highly disappointing sequel and I'm less excited about book 3 to be quite honest....more

What a fabulous start to the Rose Hill Series! Ford x Rosie were perfect. PERFECT!
This is probably one of the easiest 5 stars I've given for a while.
There's something about a socially awkward MMC who also acts like a complete DADDY that just hits right. I adored everything about him, and his relationship with his daughter was adorable. Elsie Silver writes the best MMC's.
Rosie was hilarious and knew how to put Ford in his place! She is the perfect love interest for Ford, and their banter was so clever and enjoyable. Elsie managed to write dialogue that didn't feel overly mean, and held a lot of sexual tension.
The side characters were brilliant, the bowling team especially, and you also get to meet the MMC for book 2. The sneak peak had me kicking my feet in excitement, and I cannot wait for Wild Eyes. However, the best character was Ford's daughter, our little storm cloud. I won't say too much but I fell in love with her so quickly!
Whilst the storyline was basic, I really didn't mind (or notice that much) because the characters were so enjoyable! I feel like I could talk about the banter between Rosie and Ford all day, but Elsie Silver really outdid herself with this one. I loved having two characters that matched each other's energy perfectly, whilst being complete opposites. The work emails between the two of them had me cackling. Plus, the smutty scenes were *insert fire emoji*. DADDY FORD CERTAINLY HAS A WAY WITH WORDS... and pens!
Tropes: - Single dad - Small town romance - Frenemies-to-lovers vibes - Best friend's little sister / brother's best friend - Billionnaire romance - Workplace romance (boss/employee) - Grumpy x sunshine - 'He's always cared for her' vibes

AND COWBOYS.
The book lost one star because I found everything a little too predictable, and I wish there'd been a bit more angst between our FMC and MMC. But I definitely will be reading on in the series because I adore interconnected standalones!
Fans of Devney Perry and Lyla Sage will love this book!

DADDY. FUCKING. GUS.
*kicks feets*
I was both excited and anxious for this book.
I loved Gus and Teddy the moment they started arguing with each other in book 1, and I needed their story to be perfect. AND LYLA SAGE DELIVERED.
A single dad x nanny romance was the perfect story for them. The plot, the development, the tension was so well-done and you can see the growth in Lyla Sage's writing. This is definitely her strongest book to-date.
Gus x Teddy have to be my favourite in the series and Lyla has set the scene for book 4 perfectly. I am beyond excited for Dusty x Cam's book.
This book includes: - Dual POV - Single daddy x nanny - Banter - Small Town Romance - Grumpy x sunshine

Our wonderful FMC A single, musician dad x nanny romance... this could have easily been a 5 star read. I'm a complete sucker for this trope.
AND YET.
Our wonderful FMC June caught the flu (I would argue it was the plague making a comeback with the way it was written) mid-way through this book.
The flu, I hear you ask? Yes, the flu.
And our wonderful MMC Diego, who I really enjoyed as a character, acted like June was minutes from dying. I love a good 'care for the sick person which naturally brings the characters closer together' moment but good lord... this felt way over the top. FOR THE FLU. THE FLU!!! Actually I don't think they ever said flu... it may have been the common cold!
I question whether this author has truly been sick because I was waiting for June to die, and the second half of this book would be about Diego's grief. I've never read something so dramatic to be quite honest and my eyes may be permanently stuck from the continuous eye-rolling this scene caused.
So for that scene alone, 4 stars (nearly 3 but feel this may be too dramatic from me)....more
I think I went into this book with high expectations and came away slightly disappointed.
My biggest issue with this book is that nothing happens for I think I went into this book with high expectations and came away slightly disappointed.
My biggest issue with this book is that nothing happens for a good 200 pages. Like nothing. Pike and Jordan just make googly eyes at each other whilst she continues to date his son...
However, when she broke up with Cole (the son) the book seemed to actually pick up in pace and I really enjoyed it.
I probably would't read this book again but was definitely a fun read....more

I wasn't too sure I was going to like this book but Devney Perry nailed it. This book was a friendly reminder that I adore the single-dad trope. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Mateo is the youngest Eden sibling, and one we don't know too much about. He drops the "I think I may have a daughter" bomb at the end of book 5 which initially had me apprehensive about book 6. Vera was introduced in book 5 (her father murdered her mother and sisters, and then they went on the run together in the wilderness). I knew Vera was going to have a lot of history to be unravelled, and I was excited to see how Devney was going to handle this.
I loved the development of the relationship between Mateo and Vera, and felt it was handled really well. Vera had just returned from being in the wilderness with her father for four years, and I liked how she had time to adapt to the 'real world' again. Mateo was learning how to be a single father and it was nice that they were able to develop as individuals before coming together.
The ending with the whole family gathered in the kitchen was adorable - I loved having the last POV be Harrison's. Also, best cover of the series!
Now was Devney hinting at a second generation of Edens... ...more

Ryan Shay who? No, but seriously!
I'm in love with Kai, Miller and baby Max.
Their story had me laughing and crying, I'm genuinely sobbing over the word mama, and it could not have been more perfect. Miller was our sassy and wild FMC, while Kai was our glasses-wearing single-dad.

Character Development: 4/5 Plot: 4.5/5 Readability: 3/5 Enjoyment: 4/5
This one just felt a little bit too cheesy and unbelievable to me. I always find that the 'funny side character' in book 1, never makes a good lead in their own book. I also found the MMC to be a bit lacklustre.
This book didn't have that addicting feel that book 1 did but I think fans of Christina Lauren will enjoy this book, I just wasn't blown away. ...more

I knew the eldest Eaton was going to be my favourite, and I was not wrong. I loved this book! There's something about Elsie Silver's writing that is so addicting, and makes you feel like you're not reading at all.
I loved Willa from the moment we met her in Chapter 1. She's a strong, fiery and hilarious FMC who wears her heart on her sleeve. Cade is a grumpy, single-dad who barely cracks a smile. Anyone who knows me knows I love a grumpy/sunshine romance and these two were brilliant together. The tension, the angst, the banter... perfection.
I'd highly recommend this series for anyone who enjoys small town, single dad, grumpy/sunshine romances. I can't wait to read the next book in the Chestnut Springs series....more
