I always wondered what would happen if the characters in one of these stories just discussed their problems like adults instead of the drama. Now I know. It makes for a boring read! I appreciate Ms. Graham's attempt at making these characters more mature in their relationship, but begs her to please never do it again. I need ALL the dramas!!

This throws a curveball into Lazaro’s perfectly planned life and he isn’t happy about it. However he realizes that it took two to tango and that he was equally responsible. Of course it took a him a while to get to that realization. Until then, Skye was accused of being a gold digger and was viewed as a problem that needed fixing.
While I enjoyed the book, I found myself getting easily distracted. When I love a book, it’s almost impossible to drag me out of its pages. With this one, I was willing to walk away from it for a while. It’s a good read. Interesting characters. But I just didn’t fall in love. Still enjoyable and I would recommend.

What i did enjoy was the diversity in her characters. A brown skinned girl who has a PHD in her scientific field and was granted approval as council to the king. The same king that she marries, but still. She excelled in her field and was honored with that post.
Sadly, like most intelligent, intellectual women in HPs, she loses all common sense, and rational thought mind as soon as she looks at the H. Smh
A decent read if you just want to escape for a couple hours.

I disliked both main characters. The “scandalous secret” was ridiculous. The whining was annoying. I never felt any tiny bit of connection/sympathy/empathy for either of the characters. They seemed like paper cutouts. Their characters were flat and boring. Tedious.
Ok, maybe I’m being harsh and my cold meds are having a nasty effect ... nah! This really did suck. Luckily, I fell asleep in between chapters to break up the boredom. I’ll put this one down as a bad dream and forget it exists.

I loved Belle and Dante and their epilogue was the perfect end to their story. It left me happy and hopeful. And this is why I will always read HPs. I’m a sucker for a good HEA.

He has no desire to marry after the death of his fiancée years earlier.
After Layla’s parents died in a car crash when she was a child, she was sent to live with her aunt at the castle. She grew up idolizing Logan. Now working at the castle, he proposes a marriage of convenience for him to keep the castle.
Logan was a man with some serious issues. He needed therapy. Sadly, Layla was the one who paid for his disfunction. She had her own pain to live with, but tried to be there for Logan. He had no appreciation.
A good read. Kept me interested and that’s always a plus.

Believing that her mum stole something from him, he blackmails the h when she comes to beg him to drop the charges on her mum.
He agrees, but only if she becomes his mistress for 3 months. She’s horrified, dumps water on him and clearly states that she is not a slut. He tells her to take some time to think it over and make a decision.
Of course, circumstances makes her realize that she doesn’t really have a choice, so she accepts his deal.
He soon learns that she is an innocent and that the chemistry between them is explosive. But that explosive chemistry causes him to lose control and have unprotected sex for the first time in his life. He also learned exactly how innocent the h truly was.
A great Lynne Graham read. Reminiscent of her earlier works that I love so much. It was a delightful read.

I haven’t read a Kim Lawrence book in a long time and was really excited to start this one. Sadly, it didn’t live up to expectations. It was tedious. The characters never convinced me that they truly belonged together. There was no passion, not even in the arguments.
It took me a while to drag myself through the book. At one point I wondered if it’s because I didn’t read the first installment, but nooo, it just wasn’t a interesting read for me.
I was considering giving the first installment a try, and my still do so, but I have another book or two to finish before I commit myself to possible tedium.

Gabriel and Leonora’s story was sweet and sad. After her supposed to be fiancé left her standing in the middle of their engagement party for the red head claiming she was pregnant with his child, Leonora accepted help from gorgeous Gabriel to escape the crowd and the paparazzi.
He took her back to his place, had a fantastic night with her and woke to an empty bed. Gabriel tracks Leonora down and proposes. The make a MOC pact. He will help her struggling family if she marries him and provides him with an heir. Plus, they have explosive sexual chemistry so it promises to be a good marriage. All went well, until it didn’t and their lives are turned upside down.
It’s a really heartbreaking story that turns out well for the characters in the story, but in reality, the condition they faced in the book devastates women’s lives daily. It’s painful physically and emotionally. I appreciated the author’s handling of the subject. It can only help others in the same situation to know that they are not alone in this. It just feels that way. Talk to someone. Find a group. Online. In person. It’s a painful burden. Share it with others who understand and will support you.

The H is forced to marry the daughter of a man who is basically blackmailing his family. The daughter is an innocent in it all but the H is angry and takes his anger out on her.
He walks out on her the day after their wedding and told her to find a way to live on her own. And she did.
A year later, he finds his missing wife in Bora Bora and learns that she had given birth to his son. He insists that she return to Athens with him. She does because she has a secret that she does not want him to know. She returned so he can get to know and love his infant son because she would have to leave them soon.
The h was brilliantly written. She is independent, strong and a fighter. I really loved her character. The H was sexy as hell. He was a bit of a d*ck to the h at the start of the book, but is was understandable. He soon turned out to be my version of my HEA; juuuust right!
The h’s condition and that not so hidden fear that permeated the story is one that so many of us can relate to. I just wish every woman facing challenges like that and living with that fear had the same HEA.
All in all, a darned good read.

Jai meets WA delightfully good story. I didn’t expect to lover the characters or enjoy the story as much as I did. This is a winner for Lynne Graham.
Jai meets Willow, his favorite old headmaster’s daughter at his funeral. He remembered her as a child and felt some responsibility for her now that her father has died. What he learned was that she was left improvised and homeless because of her father’s carelessness.
In attempting to comfort her, they end up spending one amazing night together. A night that he ruined by being a total tool in the morning. That night led to a pregnancy that Willow was not prepared for but fought for regardless. She stayed with a friend for as long as she could but ended up in a homeless shelter while waiting for council housing for her and her son, Hari.
This is where Jai finds her. He is the ruler of his Indian province and extremely wealthy. He is angry to learn that his child is living in a homeless shelter and blames Willow. He quickly marries her and moves her to India.
The relationship between them develops in ways that is foreign to Jai. And with his complicated background, he doesn’t recognize the signs for what they are until it’s almost too late.
This was a really good read to start my February off with. ❤️
