MMC/FMC- Bullet and Maddy POV- 1st person dual Genre- Contemporary Romance Sub Genre - Biker Romance Heat- quite explicit. Occasionally with witnessesMMC/FMC- Bullet and Maddy POV- 1st person dual Genre- Contemporary Romance Sub Genre - Biker Romance Heat- quite explicit. Occasionally with witnesses. Series? Y Safety: This is always hard to do without being too spoiler-y, but I think Safety warnings are important. There’s no cheating but heroine is with another man after she and Hero split. OM drama with OM being the Big Bad. No cliffhanger, although there are threats of future attacks. HEA is more of a HFN because of said threat. Triggers- Language, extremely graphic violence, explicit erotic content, threats of s. violence, , menacing, torture, threatened self-harm, Kenny G Trauma, Egregious Use of Nicknames. Tropes- Second Chance, Star-Crossed Lovers, Forced Engagement, Dysfunctional Family FTW, Kidnapping?, I Need A Drink, Hate Sex High (subverted, as well as perverted), Evil Fiancé, Ragtag Band of Misfits. What I liked- I liked the “good guys”. Rook is my absolute favorite character. He was incredibly funny. And his adoration of Eliza was sweet. She is his beloved kryptonite and he would do anything to make her happy. I liked that Madison was smart (smarter than Bullet) and that she could think on her feet. Her dedication to her education was admirable. She also had some realistic reactions to the verbal and physical abuse, but she didn’t let it completely break her. Bullet had extreme adrenaline reserves. I was amazed that he could function after that beat down. His dogged determination to save Madison was a direct reflection of his love for her. He had a loyal heart. Speaking of loyalty, Thunder had that in Spades. And the bad guys were decidedly evil, even the one who was a surprise. It’s fun to boo such straight up evil. Other thoughts- I can’t even with her parents. I don’t think she should have trusted them after what they did. Forgiveness is good for the soul, but forgetting is not so smart. What I didn’t like- Rook is so in love with Eliza that I can’t even have him as a Book Boyfriend. Verdict- enjoyable. Not so much MC as it is about bikers, but certainly MC Adjacent.

Tropes- Runaway Bride, Arranged Marriage, Protective Hero, Surprise Pregnancy, Love/Hate Relationship. What I liked- when he showed his human side, especially when he admitted he was getting attached to her. The zexytime scenes were toe-curling. They had a lot of chemistry, and sparks flew whenever they argued. And I loved the humor. This book just worked. What I didn’t like- there was an excess of purple. Verdict- Recommended.

TMMC/FMC- Domhnall and Fiona POV- 1st person dual Genre- Contemporary Romance Sub Genre- Highlander Romance Heat- They do the things And name the parts. They join their loins And meld their hearts Series? Y Safety: Y. There’s no cheating/sharing, No s. violence, no cliffhanger. There is Ex drama and a HEA/HFN. Triggers- explicit erotic content, aerodynamic haggis. Tropes- Second Chance; Men in Kilts; Man With a Past; Crazy Ex; Redemption Tour; Age Gap (OW/YM); It Sounds Better in Gaelic. What I liked- this is a delightful romp of a book! Domhnall was not the most sympathetic character in a previous book in the series, and it was good to see that he redeemed himself. He and Fiona are perfect for each other. At its heart, this story is about the importance of love and family. And their version of Curling and the Highland Games were funny and a joy to read. What I didn’t like- Kilts are not mandatory wear for men here in the USA. Verdict- recommended. This book is both hilarious and heartwarming.

MMC/FMC- Kirya and Stasya POV- 1st person dual Genre- Historical Romance (1989 USSR) Genre- Mafia Romance Sub Genre- Bratva Series ? Y Safety: no cheatingMMC/FMC- Kirya and Stasya POV- 1st person dual Genre- Historical Romance (1989 USSR) Genre- Mafia Romance Sub Genre- Bratva Series ? Y Safety: no cheating or OM/OW drama. Ends in a cliffhanger, without an HEA/HFN. Triggers- Violence, blood, explicit erotic content, language. Tropes- Kidnapping, Childhood/Youthful Crush, He Ain’t Heavy- He’s My Bratva. What I liked- This book was unique. I loved this book. I was an exchange student in the (then) Soviet Union at around this time period and I found the world building to be excellent and the descriptions to be vivid and accurate. I felt that the relationship between the main characters was strong. And hot. Both characters were likable, too. And I can’t wait to read the next book in the duet. MMC/FMC- Dario and Cora POV- 1st person dual Genre- Mafia Romance Heat level- This review is brought to you by the letter C, in honor of all the C wordMMC/FMC- Dario and Cora POV- 1st person dual Genre- Mafia Romance Heat level- This review is brought to you by the letter C, in honor of all the C words used in naming the parts, and by the letters B, D, S, and M. Series? Y Safety: No cheating, no OM/OW drama, implied past s. violence, no cliffhanger, HEA. Triggers- Human S. Trafficking, Violence (Including Cranial Bludgeoning With a French Wine Bottle- Oh, the Humanity!), Off-Page Torture, Implied Past S. Assault, Traumatic Googling, Kidnapping, More Kidnapping, Still Kidnapping, Abduction, Explicit Erotic Content With A Side Of Kink. Tropes- Arranged Marriage, Playing Tag, It Sounds Better In Italian, Do-Si-Do With the Mafioso, Bad Guy Whack-A-Mole, Dysfunctional Family FTW Food P rn, That’s Not My Leg. What I liked- The chapter subheadings are EVERYTHING. I love the blending of humor with erotic content and plot. The truly serious is not treated with humor, but this is the first book I’ve ever read that was able to make a fourth kidnapping kind of funny (it’s black humor and works when you read it). The zexytime scenes- Oh My! This book makes Fifty Shades of Grey look like Fifty Shades of Beige. (PSA- skip reading any of the Fifty Shades books. It’s like reading oatmeal that someone has tried to salt. Yeah, I went there.) When they had the zexytime in the car, I was afraid my smoke detector was going to explode. The characters were great- Dario is straight up funny and the side characters are amusing and well written. And our heroine is bad ss. Don’t even let me get started on the food! I think I squeed myself at the Cassata Cake With Ricotta Blueberry Cream And A Marzipan Topping *swoon*. What I didn’t like- I’ve never had the opportunity to eat a Cassata Cake With Ricotta Blueberry Cream And A Marzipan Topping. Verdict- do yourself a favor and download this book immediately.
