I loved seeing their relationship develop while also learning some history about not only the time period (195os) but horses and horse showing/jumping of the era. It reminds me that the time in which I live wasn't all that different. Sure, technological advances were different, but folks of the 50s were also dealing with massive change. Snowman brought a nation together, and you'll enjoy reading more about him in this well-written book. The author describes as one who knows horses, and her details about Harry, Snowman, and others make this book read like a novel in many ways. Great summer read!...more
