That being said, I did read the book and I will give my honest review.
I think the premise is great and I did enjoy the first half of the book. The book definitely draws you in and I was interested to see what would happen next. At about the 50-60% point in the book I just found it all to be so unbelievable that I was constantly rolling my eyes and begging for the book to end.
I may be an outlier here and I can tell that others will love this book but it's a no for me.

If you are looking for a witchy, enemies-to-lovers, Dual POV fantasy romance you will be delighted by this book. Rune is a socialite by day and rescueIf you are looking for a witchy, enemies-to-lovers, Dual POV fantasy romance you will be delighted by this book. Rune is a socialite by day and rescues witches by the dark of night. Gideon is definitely a heartless hunter and will do anything in his power to catch the infamous Crimson Moth. Rune and Gideon find themselves playing each other to gain information and end up with a deadly attraction to one another. Can they make it work or will their secrets ruin them? The scenes with Gideon and Rune had me on the edge of my seat wondering if one of them would slip and let their deceit show. Rune was masterful at outsmarting her potential captor but he captures her heart instead.
This is a wonderful new romantic fantasy that will have you begging for the next installment. 4.5 stars

James and Ozzy are red hot together and the tension is sizzling. The character building was wonderful as always and the restaurant setting was something you don't see very often but was done so well. I think we all need a line cook in our lives now.
And Naomi, I know you did NOT put the "Frozen Snickers" recipe in the back of the book!! ;)
Naomi continues to amaze me with her writing and I can't wait to read more from this author. Perfect for fans of line cooks, the show "The Bear" or really any fun, smutty rom-com book! This one will leave you blushing and swooning and possibly thinking about line cooks and what they are up to next time you eat at a restaurant. 4.5 stars rounded up because the recipes included in the back are a delightful add on.

I hated the farcical situations of Indiana and her "accomplishments". I do like the message of the book but still in the end felt it was a bit too on the nose for my liking. There were definitely parts of the book I did enjoy (the pottery, the fish, and Ana's dad) and I am happy with the ending. Overall this book was just ok for me. I do definitely see why people will enjoy it but it wasn't my cup of tea. The writing was done well and the audiobook narration was good.

I think this book is written well, and as a standalone, it's fine and since it's not labeled as part of a series, I'll take that for what it's worth. I really wanted to love this book, but I found the characters unlikeable (maybe that is the point?). Laura....while I appreciate her insta-lust for Carmilla, I didn't really buy into their relationship. DeLafontaine was an obsessed, jealous, petulant and arrogant twit considering her age. Carmilla was just "meh". It almost felt to me like the vampirism was a side note to the grooming going on and could almost be left out of the book all together. Maybe I'm being too judgemental but I feel this book was a letdown and that makes me sad.
I know people will love this book and eat it up. The audiobook narration was done well, with distinguishing accents that makes it easy to follow.
