Okay, so this series started out slow for me, but once we started getting the back story, boom I was hooked! And it kept surprising me (mostly in a good way, but definitely not always—looking at you, revelation of who Konatsu’s son’s true father is, ew). I feel like I can’t quite bring myself to give the final volume five stars because of that ew, whaaaat??? factor, but the main story? So good! I’m glad I kept going with it....more

I sort of like the dumbness of the main character, and am enjoying how he interacts with everyone. And I’m gradually learning more about rakugo, which…sort of seems like historical comedic storytelling? Or something like that? I’m not hooked, but I am intrigued enough to continue for now....more

I liked seeing the main character find himself falling in love with making art, and I love his friends, and the art kids are interesting. I read this volume anyway though, and I super loved how Coco and Agott come together and compliment each other so beautifully. After so much strife on Agott’s part ever since Coco first came along, it just felt so rewarding! And I love how perceptive Qifrey is, and the way he and Olly interact. Plus, the art is always very pretty!

Well worth a read if you like band drama, weirdly thrilling rock festival performances, and some pretty major character growth. I probably won’t read this again, but dang, is a lot of it going to stick with me anyway!...more
