The illustrations, like the one given below, are so detailed, colorful and cute:

The English edition was titled 'Stories & Pictures' & some of the illustrated stories from the collection like 'Who said "Meow"?', 'Three Kittens' & 'The Helpful Stick' are still bright in my memory.
