They like sticking their hands through the character's mouths as if they're feeding the characters.
However, this book wasn't as good as the one it reminded me of, which is Don't Push the Button! A Halloween Treat. My kids love that book, and the 'Don't' part of this one reminded me of it. ...more

He loves the soft squishy material that the little cars are made of, but isn't interested enough in me reading it to listen to the story. He just flips through to touch all the cars and then he's done. Mind you he's two, but he listens to other books pretty well as we read (even other touch and feel books). ...more

My sons think the book is silly, and have had me read it to them quite a few times. They obviously don't understand the deep underlying message because they're 2 and 4 years old. But I understand the message, and it will be a useful tool for explaining to them what is happening right now.
Rhymes well, I like the illustrations a lot, funny to see Matt Walsh hidden throughout it. ...more

It is a bit more expansive than your average 'first 100 words' book so it appeals to both of them. I on the other hand get a bit winded reading this because there are just so many objects and the order in which the kids point to them varies in order and how many times they ask me to repeat a word (I say with a laugh of course). I would rather read a story book, but cannot deny that they love having me read though this one. ...more

We've read it Have a couple books in this series, grabbed another because touch and feel books are big with my toddlers. They liked this one alright. We've read it a couple times. I would say that this series is getting a little boring to them only because all of them (that we own) are made of the same material. Of course there are different patterns and such to touch, but the books with varying materials seem to catch their attention more. ...more

UnThis book is very cute I love the illustrations and the rhyming story, and that it takes place in Maine (a place I've lived for at least 10 years). Unfortunately my sons (2 and 4) usually get bored when I read it (past the first reading I ever did) and walk away when I read. I managed to capture the four year old's attention by turning some of the pages into an eye spy game but outside of that they weren't really interested. ...more

This book was also a much simpler read than the other Little Blue Truck books. ...more

This book is beautifully illustrated and has a lot to read, the flaps are fun for the kids to fold over. But I think because it is a more informative book rather than a story being told, my kids (2 and 4 years old) aren't super interested yet. Perhaps this book will need to be re-reviewed later on when they're older. ...more

The contrasting illustration colors stand out and the book really caught my kid's attention because it had glow-in-the-dark-stickers in the back (albeit those didn't last long). This book shows visuals of body parts, while cartoon-styled, I still find it to be inappropriate for children. If Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger won't show this sort of stuff on TV, why are kids allowed to pick it up and read it in the toddler section?
