Review: Ghost romance plus a high-stakes magical competition? Yes, please! This had everything I never knew I wanted in a paranormal romance. The games were intriguing and compelling, while the romance was a great forbidden romance, considering he is a ghost. The twists and turns were fun and surprising. Review: This was such a unique concept, and it was executed phenomenally! I loved the mirror world aspect was so cool, and I wanted more from both worlds as I was sucked into the book like the MCs were sucked into their mirrors. I love how everything was a flip and how the magic worked in both worlds. I was worried it would be too convoluted of a concept to keep track of, but this was far from it. Ying was such a formidable character, and I really enjoyed her character arc as she really came into herself and her magic as the story progressed, which was amazing to see. Audiobook: 5/5 Review: HOLY CRAP! I didn't think I could love anyone more than Butcher and Blackbird, but Lachlan and Lark are my new favorites. Lark, being an ADHD glitter goblin, and Lachlan, being a massive grump around everyone but her, is my favorite dynamic ever. The romance was terrific as a slow burn and developed so well. The way Lachlan showed his affection was so swoon-worthy and disturbing simultaneously. Honestly, my only gripe was that the suspense plot climaxed too quickly, and I wanted it drawn out a bit more. But the audio was SO GOOD, and I loved it with all my dark heart....more

There was much less action in the first half and a lot of information dumping; I didn't mind it because it was so fascinating and moved the plot along really well. The best aspects of this book were the character development and the surprise twist at the climax. Io's journey was beautifully written and made her raw and honest. The twist was highly compelling. I wish the ending were longer and we got more of the 'aftermath'; the book feels like it just ended with no plan forward or finality. This was extraordinarily immersive and a fun book; I would highly recommend it if you have read book 1, and if you haven't, this is a great dystopian sci-fi mixed with Greek mythology. This duology has a unique magic system and an even more compelling story around fate, family, politics, and socioeconomic injustice.

This had me swooning and giggling the entire time. Wells is by far my new favorite Tessa Bailey MMC. He was open about his flaws and owned up to them. Then, he would educate himself on Josephone's condition to be prepared to help her if she needed me. Not only that, he balanced taking care of her and letting her feel independent, and I just loved him. I expected the celebrity/fan trope to be creepy, but it was so wholesome and kept building as they spent more time together. I loved this. It's my new favorite Tessa Bailey book....more

It's magical, deep, light-hearted, and a beautiful story of friendship, love, acceptance, personal turmoil, and so much more! This had everything I want in a finale! Review: Well this lived up to the hype. I am obsessed with this world, the war college felt reminiscent of the Dauntless faction from Divergent and the dragon-riding and relationships were similar to How to Train Your Dragon. These mixed up with an enemies-to-lovers romance and extremely high-stakes schooling. I loved Violet, she was so strong and had a fuck around and find out attitude that jumped off the page. The romance was so well done! It was the perfect slow burn and enemies to lovers. Now my favorite aspect was the dragons, they were sentient and had real personalities which made the story so much fun and added a layer of complexity to all the relationships....more

Review: I have no idea what Ana Huang puts in these books, but I am addicted to all her books. Kai and Isabella were very different from our other main characters, which worked so well for this book. Kai was a more quiet and reserved MMC while Isabella was the one who was loud and boisterous, in the best ways. Their love story felt unique and relatable even though this was technically a billionaire romance. THE SPICE!!! All I will say is it is always the quiet ones who are the dirtiest! Review: I am a mess. I was not ready for how emotionally raw this book would make me. Macy and Elliott's story was so poignant and beautiful. There were times when I wanted to just know what happened and it did happen a bit fast at the very end, but it still packed a huge punch and I was not ok. Still not ok. Review: I have never been a big fan of wartime books, nothing against them it is just never been something I gravitated towards. This book was a beautiful story following two couples as they navigate the struggles of living through World War 1. And all of it is told by Aphrodite. It was such a unique concept and the stories are beautifully written. There is such a sense of dread as the backdrop to the entire story that is so tangible its almost its own character. You cant help but be hopeful and terrified that something is going to happen to each of these people. I loved this so much. ...more
