I don’t know if I buy it but here his my original review which was able to be recovered:
The Ickabog is a fairy tale, set in an imaginary land, which J.K. Rowling says is ‘about truth and the abuse of power’.
How dare she claim to write a book about "truth and the abuse of power" when she is abusing her influence and power to spread hate and lies.
And while I highly doubt there is anything explicitly, obviously hateful contained within the pages of this book, things slip in whether consciously or unconsciously and I think that is very dangerous
I will never condone hatred or condone attacking authors nor is that what I am intending to do here. But J.K. Rowling's hate and hypocrisy must be recognized.

let's take this from the top.
Goodreads has deleted my original review which is very unfortunately and mildly frustrating. Rather than seeing this as lowkey censorship, I am seeing this as an opportunity to say things a little better than I did last time.
So, here we go.
I find it ironic and frustrating that this book is about the 'abuse of power' when J.K. Rowling abuses the power of her platform to spread misinformation and hatred.
I want to end by saying that I do NOT hate the author nor do I condone any hatred or abuse of any authors, even if I disagree with them.

You know that a man dressing up as a woman to kill people can happen in real life/fiction, right?
Yes, I know. I also know that it is a theme in Silence of the Lambs and Psycho. No need to mention it for the 42nd time. The man dressing up as a woman isn't the main point. It's the fact that Rowling is abusing her enormous platform to share unkind and hateful opinions about the trans community. Her incorrect comments do nothing except further the abuse of trans people. The problem isn't fully the concept of this book. It's the fact that it's coming from a transphobic author whose pseudonym is a psychiatrist who is known for gay conversion therapy.
hAvE yOu EvEn ReAd ThE bOoK?!? / WhY dId YoU rAtE 1 star??!
I have actually read a whopping 1 page of this book before I decided I didn't want to waste 900+ pages of my time on it's BS. As far as the one star, it is there to do what it is designed for, express my opinion about this book.
I want to make it very clear once again...
I DO NOT HATE J. K. ROWLING! I completely disagree with her opinions but I do not hate her. She is a very talented author. I just wish she would listen to reason. Until then, I will continue to fight for the truth and love.
As always, I am completely open for a reasonable discussion. Any hate or slurs will be reported and deleted along with the user being blocked. If you need to talk to someone, please feel free to click the links at the bottom of this review.
Love, Tucker

this is a book about a male serial who dresses up as a woman to kill his victims...
HOW IS THIS BEING PUBLISHED? This is coming from an obviously unkind and transphobic author. It's not a mysterious/thrilling plot device. It's bigotry disguised as literature.
I do not condone hatred or condone attacking authors nor is that what I am intending to do here. But J.K. Rowling's hate, hypocrisy and abuse of power must be recognized.

I read this a while back when trying to figure out what I believed.
I want to put out there that for those who are still trying to figure out their faith and sexuality, this book WILL NOT be helpful.
This straight man thought it would be a good idea to write a book about how God feels about gay people.
Listen, I am not saying that you shouldn't research the bible to try to figure out what you believe. Go right ahead. But it is not this man's right to tell the reader that they are not a Christian because they are gay.
Or that "God loves gays" but "you can't call yourself a Christian and follow that lifestyle".
Excuse me, Landon Scott.... Are you Jesus? do you get to decide who's a Christian and who isn't?
Yeah, I didn't think so. Sit your straight ass back down and let that be a conversation between God and the believer.
Finally, God loves you. You can be as gay as you want. Because guess what. God has never and will never stop loving you
this has been my sappy ted talk. Thank you for coming
